Ex-Blue McGoldrick Instigated Players Taking a Knee
at 08:08:31

Jeera, why mark me down? I said calling one person lazy is not racist, calling all people of a certain colour or ethnicity is! Anybody who called Fabian Willis lazy would be a racist anybody calling McGoldrick lazy is correct. You cannot defend all people of one colour because of their colour that makes no sense, the same as you cannot justify calling all white police officers as racist there is good and bad in all groups.

Ex-Blue McGoldrick Instigated Players Taking a Knee
at 07:41:46

Lonelyblue you confuse comments about an individual black player with comments about all black players which is racism. If it was said that all black players were lazy it would be racist the same as all Irish are thick, all Scots are tight with money, all Yanks are obese. Do not look for offence when not meant, challenge racism where it occurs call out all racists and discrimination when it happens.

Posh Chairman Issues Statement on Behalf of Six Clubs Including Town
at 21:37:54

Does that mean if none of the others want to stop, we could play the other five home and away to decide who is promoted? At least that way we would finish in the top six, win the playoffs and be promoted. Better still just cancel the season and start again when it is safe to do so, my preferred option

EFL Still Aiming to Play Remaining Fixtures
at 12:30:15

Why does it have to finish? In a hundred years time when we are no longer around moaning about ME or MM this messed up season will be a reminder to our descendants that we realised that was more important things to worry about. In 1939 the season started but stopped when WW2 started did people sit around deciding how they could complete the season, no they dealt with more important things then started again when it was safe.

Skip73 we have been boycotting it for years. But agree with your sentiments, money grabbing is all they are interested in, a league where only a small number have a realistic chance of winning is not a sportIng challenge.

So what happens if a few players from any team ends up with Covid19 and they have played two games after that possibly infecting others? Do we then stop the league again? At that rate we could still trying to finish this season for quite awhile. Finish it now, start football again when it is safe to do so. Life is more important than anything, people should stop and think about their priorities. Think about if we had an individual minutes silence for every individual victim of this virus how long you would be standing there. To me that puts the whole thing into perspective.

Sir Alf Born 100 Years Ago Today
at 17:50:22

There is an article in Daily Express with a quote about Sir Alf “not only a great England manager also a great English gentleman”. Modest about his achievements he said it was down to the players they deserved the credit. One vivid memory of my youth watching the World Cup with the naive belief we were going to win even before a ball was kicked. Thanks Sir Alf for the memories

Chambers: I Can Only Apologise to the Travelling Fans
at 08:18:20

I may be pedantic but surely the way to change the poor run of form is to have a team meeting after each match, openly discuss what went wrong and what was good. Not a long meeting only after a heavy defeat, to me that smacks of PR. Being open and honest with teammates and staff breeds confidence and support with each other, it’s called team building. This post is not a dig at Chambers, he is imo a limited defender suited to this league, he was just put up for the interview and gave honest answers to questions.

Lambert: Were There Some Harsh Words There? Yes, But Not Over the Top
at 21:01:26

Passing not crisp enough, no passion, marking nonexistent. Some of the players are not as good as they think they are, Judge for instance. The revival starts from now on by playing the best team every game.

Lincoln City 5-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 19:40:28

I have not been to many games recently but as it’s a nice break from Christmas I decided to go to two games, Boxing Day and today. Watching paint dry summed up the first match, today’s was a totally different matter, entertaining goals and a good atmosphere, due to grandson organising the buying the tickets we ended up at the other end of the ground from the blue army. None of our players seemed to care as much as Lincoln, they had an urgency about them we played a more pedestrian game, yes there were a few nice passes but with no end product. They carried a threat we were too predictable, passing it around for no reason instead of trying a shot. Downes was IMO our man of the match, others should such as Edwards, feel ashamed when they pick up their wages. Without passion a player is nothing, even clod hoppers like Chambers who I am not a fan of at least seems to care whether we win or lose. Listening to Mick Mills on Saturday summed up the rotation system succinctly, if you know you will play regularly without really trying why would you play well because even when you give your best you may still be dropped for the next game.

Lambert: Evans's Comments Complete Rubbish and Lies

According to some comments on that site last season it was Lambert’s fault we were relegated and every Ipswich fan wanted him out. If Lambert has said something out of place surely it will appear in the refs report!

Trialist Wilson Set to Sign

I see pre-season training has gone well for the posters on here opinions offered by some who are immediately jumped on by people with a different opinion. Which then sometimes become personal. Please all remember opinions are like arseholes everybody has one, it is theirs and they are entitled to it. Disagree with them but leave the insults of other supporters out.

No Cash Turnstiles at Home Games
at 20:01:01

Yes we are moaning, I drive over an hour to get to PR, I park to the east of the ground as it is easier to leave afterwards. In the past I could turn up at the gate and pay if I made a late decision to go with this change I will park where I normally did then have to walk to the west side, queue for a ticket, discuss with the person in the ticket options for the stand I would like to sit in, then walk back to the east side of the ground to queue up to get in the ground. If they installed contactless payment at the turnstiles I would be able to do what I did in the past. Has anybody considered what happens when there is a system or printer failure. ITFC a lesson in how to lose friends and influence people.

McCarthy: I Hope Fans That Hounded Me Out Enjoy the Sexy Football in League One
at 08:08:09

I have not commented on this site for a long time, but this classy person and some posters on here have really got me enraged. I started following the blues in 1962, with all the up and downs that entailed, the excitement and disappointment that involved. To begin with I supported him as he was our manager, but after suffering his boring tactics, strange selections, ridiculous substitutions and his pigheaded attitude, I gave up going to PR. When he left I was there when we lost 4-0 to Villa and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The only problem was I had lost my true attachment to the club, even with a new manager I couldn’t even bother to attend, to begin with I would follow their progress on Sky Sports news, but gradually have even lost interest in doing that. I will of course always be a blue but thanks to him I feel totally disconnected to the team. Hopefully I may go next season but at present I am part of his true legacy. Thanks for nothing Mr McCarthy

As he is recovering from serious injury makes sense to have a short time contract, otherwise if things go wrong we could be left with another Adeyemi
