ballot news?

That depends on how you are measuring ‘deserving’?

I would say that in my opinion, someone attending 1 game isn’t as deserving as someone attending 23, 15, 10 etc…and that’s the issue, the club haven’t addressed that.

Just like me attending 5 away games last season make me less deserving than the fans who attended 10/15 and there’s a points system to back that up.

Anyway, genuine congrats to those who were lucky enough, certainly isn’t their fault and hopefully I’ll get mine on Monday.

100%

Like I said, I get it, particularly from a revenue point of view and to capture the future ITFC fans. I just don't think that they've quite got that balance right.

Am old enough to have seen us play in the PL and Europe but sadly for my lad, the last 2 seasons aside, he's only seen the bad times.

Anyway, i'll do my best to secure a couple on Monday :)

I understand how a ballot works.

If I am truthful, I just feel annoyed that my lad (more than me) may miss out on a ticket and felt that the club should have done better with how they rewarded members last season. There's a point system for away games, but nothing for home.

Anyway, I understand why they've done it this way (£££) but doesn't mean I can't feel a little bit sorry for myself :-)

Same here. Me and my lad did 23 games last season (21 league games) and nothing from the club so assume we were unsuccessful.

Now a lottery as to whether I'll be placed high enough in the queue on Monday as to whether we'll get them.

I've never had a season ticket, but I have attended a minimum of 10-15 home games a season for the last 25 years and usually 4-5 away games. Not to have a season ticket was my choice so I that's on me and is my own fault for not realising sooner that this might happen should one day we make the Premier League.

I'd love to attend more away games but I am firmly in the camp that loyalty should be rewarded, that's why I've never complained about not getting away tickets to more local/attractive away fixtures.

But loyalty for attending home games should be rewarded as well. Fortunately, I am old enough to remember the Burley Premier League years but I am more annoyed that (the last 2 years aside), my lad has had to watch McCarthy/Hurst and Lambert ball and may miss out on watching the best players in the world.

There's a points priority for away, perhaps they should have considered doing one for home games.

Really disappointed with this set up.

Me and my lad did 23 home games (league & cup) last season and now fall in to the same category as someone who attended just 1 game. How have they not thought to add at least another tier for people that attended say 10+ games?

I get that they needed to do something for the next generation of fans but can't see that this is the answer.

Does anyone know how you select the home commentary?

I’m watching on a laptop via ITFC.co.uk and on home games it automatically uses Radio Suffolk and away games it automatically selects no commentary.

I can’t see an option anywhere to select?

Any ideas?

Interesting, thanks, I’ll give that a try for Saturdays game.

It wouldn’t even stream a picture to the TV via the app, but could see the game on my iPad. If all else fails I know that the laptop will stream but thanks for the tip 👍🏻

IFollow

Hoping that someone might be able to help with a technical query with iFollow here...

I bought an Apple adapter that plugs in to my iPad with an HDMI adaptor to stream to my smart TV. For some reason, it works on just about every streaming service apart from iFollow (YouTube etc), has anyone else had this issue?

I can plug the HDMI cable in to my laptop and steam it to my TV that way but using my IPad and the iFollow app would be easier if it worked!

Thanks in advance!

I’ve supported Ipswich for over 30 years, I am pretty sure I have had enough experiencing of knowing what losing feels like!

It’s more about the club being rotten from the top and being unable to do anything about it is the worst part I guess.

Sad times.

Heartbreaking...

As I sat there tonight thinking that being an ITFC supporter of 30+ years couldn’t be any worse than right now, my 8 year old son, who has supported ITFC home and away for the last 4 years with me and loves his football turned to me and said ‘Dad, I don’t want to come on Saturday’...

Really did feel like a kick in the nuts, but can I blame him? Anyone who takes their kids will know how sad that is to hear.

Yes it’s been bad recently but tonight was an absolute all time low for me, in a ‘must win’ game PL picks a shocking starting XI and from there on each and every one of them proved that they aren’t fit to wear the shirt. There was nothing! No guts, no passion, no desire, no bravery, no quality and against an awful Fleetwood team that came and did a professional job on us.

All capped off and summed up by 88 Fleetwood fans singing ‘you’re not Ipswich any more’.

Never a truer song sung...
