Town 'Willing to Pay Hackney £35,000-a-Week'
at 16:56:44

Everton reportedly in the hunt. Lure of Pship football might sway player’s decision; depending on prospects of being a guaranteed starter.

McBurney? Doubt he fits the profile.

Probert Leaves Town For Liverpool Role
at 12:23:19

Agree that all of the recent off-field activity - financial, investment trawl and backroom staff departures - are a cause for unease. Caused in part by lack of clarity and communication from the club, both explaining across the board situation/decisions and, hopefully, seeking to calm concerns.

The current drip feed of what, to some, might seem negative info, raises questions of club stability and future governance.

Burnley Now Leading Cajuste Chase
at 21:02:59

Best to accept that he won’t be returning; the ‘will he won’t he’ saga saps supporters’ energy!

Have to hope, however, that MA/KM have other, more substantive, irons in the fire. But agree there is an increasing worry that nothing much is seeping into the media regarding potential signings - or departures. Keeping the faith that our owners remain fully committed to funding team improvements.

Is there any player that AV isn’t interested in?!

Pessimistic, however, that we’ll see him back with us - sadly.

Trabzonspor Concerns Over Tuanzebe Injury Record
at 19:04:06

By the same token, how much of a financial risk are we prepared to take for the potential rewards he brings as a quality player? Has he just been unlucky regarding injuries, or does his record indicate something else? A question no doubt MA/KM have pondered in some detail

Trabzonspor President Confirms Tuanzebe Interest
at 15:17:54

Can only go so far and offer so much - ultimately we’re a business and must operate prudently. If AT feels the deal on offer is not in his, or his family’s, best interests, then so be it. Would be regrettable, but not fatal. Move on!

Tuanzebe Linked With Trabzonspor
at 13:33:51

If money really is the bottom line for him - and in truth none of us really knows - then best he goes. We need players committed to the cause in return for a decent wage.

If he decides to move on for career or family reasons, then so be it. No player is irreplaceable.

Always seems to me that those choosing to play in Turkey never seem to stay there for more than one season. Remember Mr Celina?

Tuanzebe Out of DR Congo Squad
at 21:39:32

Pity - must be frustrating to make the journey but not to play.

Agree, though, that he does seem to be injury prone - a succession of the niggly variety leading to non-availability. Something, presumably, KM/MA are factoring in; but not to stop contract negotiations. A fully fit and consistently available AT would be great!

Phillips and Townsend Still Out and Sickness in the Camp, But Szmodics Back in Training
at 15:39:42

Perhaps, as part of post-season review, the seemingly high number of significant injuries suffered by our players should be addressed.

Accept that they could simply be bad luck, given the physicality and intensity of PL football. However, would seem sensible to review all factors in play, and whether there might be actions that could be taken to minimise risks. Thinking about training regimes etc.

Davis: We'll Deal With the Added Pressure in the Championship
at 13:27:34

Hopefully all part of MA and KM’s in depth review of this season’s outcome -
including player’ strengths and weaknesses, perhaps adopting a more pragmatic, less rigid, team set up, better outcomes from set pieces and better on field decision making. A lot to consider in the context of what we know about life in the C’ship.

Everyone’s performances - including KM and his coaching staff - need to be objectively and honestly reviewed.

Town Buy Former Owner Evans's Remaining Shares
at 08:45:14

Any - for some - credit he may deserve for ‘saving’ our club is far outweighed by the damage caused by the manner in which he subsequently run it. Buying his remaining shares draws a welcome line under his toxic association with ITFC. Can’t change history, but we have most certainly moved on from it with a genuine sense of hope and thanks!

Leicester City 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:15:52

Everyone associated with today’s abject performance - including the manager and his coaching staff - should be thoroughly ashamed. Some very serious post-season reflection required by the owners, MA and KM. The oft repeated mantra of ‘lessons will be learned’ has rung increasingly hollow as the season progressed and, in truth, got worse. Enough said.

Morsy: We Know There's a Great Opportunity to Come Back
at 22:13:27

SM speaks well and intelligently. I genuinely believed that we would be able to survive in the PL, and feel that, in falling short, we’ve not always performed to the max and, perhaps, have been a tad naive in what is a brutal league.

Therefore essential that the internal post season review focuses on what it is going to take to tip the balance in our favour in those ‘fine margins’ games, where the dropping of points has ultimately cost us our PL survival. This has to start with player recruitment.

McKenna: No News on Philogene
at 18:55:54

Can’t avoid the feeling that this deal won’t ultimately happen - but sand to have those doubts completely blown out!

Truth is we simply don’t know what stage the deal has reached - or whether a substantive deal actually exists. Speculation rapidly fills the information desert!

However, and as other wise owls have said, MA is not going to be screwed over by any external agents, players or other clubs looking to exploit us.

Understandable jitters the longer it takes. for any official announcement to be made. We all know there’s many a slip between cup and lip, and nothing will be real until we see him wearing the shirt - and, hopefully, smiling!

Everton Linked With Permanent Move For Philogene
at 13:07:31

Undoubtedly a talented player, who would enhance our squad and provide KM with more options and strength in depth. But there’s something distinctly questionable about the manner in which both AV, and probably the lad’s agent, conduct their business. However, trust MA to act ethically in this club’s best interests. (Fully appreciate, btw, the realities of today’s football landscape)

McKenna: Chelsea a Tough Test, But a Great Game
at 17:01:20

Whilst relegation would obviously be very disappointing, from all that’s been said by MA and our owners, rebuilding the club is viewed as a medium to longer term project - with bumps along the road an inevitable part of that journey.

With that in mind, cannot see the owners contemplating sacking KM; either as a knee jerk attempt to prevent relegation, or because they no longer believe in him for the long term. For the immediate future, is there any other, available or interested, individual who could be drafted in to replace KM and significantly improve our performances, and match outcomes, with the same squad? Pretty sure the owners would conclude that taking that risk would be far greater than maintaining the status quo, whilst continuing to steadily grow the club to the point where we can sustain PL status.

McKenna: Poor Goals Conceded But Penalty Decision Inexplicable
at 12:42:41

KM’s most immediate challenge is to manage players’ confidence and belief, and to avoid recent individual and collective errors from imposing a negative psychological burden before a ball is kicked in the coming games. Also, some honest appraisals of individuals, team set up and how to compete effectively at this level. None of the above being easy.
