Wasn’t it the legendary £20,000. Jennings wanted that as his signing on fee, Sir Bob thought he meant net which would have meant a gross (nearly)£100,000 at the time. Jennings said in his autobiography he just wanted £20000 gross.
On another issue, he was following my car up Tottenham High Road in his nice Daimler. My nephew waved through our back window, Pat waved back. I have never seen such an enormous hand! |

Always thought Swan might have had the No.5 shirt for England in 1966. I met Kaye in about 1970. He kept a bar in Salou, Costa Dorada, and did water ski coaching. Had all his cuttings up on the walls of his bar.
From memory, the other two got their player's licences back (in their 30s) but he didn't bother. |

Exactly. They were vegetarian, but used to dig out a home in the side of dykes or rivers. Eventually, it would collapse and they'd move home. About the size of a beaver. Capybara is much bigger (same family). A neighbour's Jack Russell brought a dead one back from the marshes one day, interesting. |

Brentford away, with my Bees supporting bro-in-law. Resolved to stay quiet...15 seconds later, Murphy scored and I was up and loud. Old boy(with his dad in a wheelchair) gave me dogs abuse thereafter, despite my satirical polite applause every time we scored after that. Good day out! |
