| News Comment | McCarthy: A Little Worse Off Despite Decent Easter at 06:30:29
133! classic MM. even though the gap has closed, this weekend has left me feeling more optimistic than I was going into it, I reckon one more win is all we'll need to secure our championship status. COYB! |

| News Comment | Ellington Amongst Players in Israel Protest at 14:23:34
The conflict over the Gaza is such a complex matter that its difficult to present a holistic, objective comment on the matter without revealing your bias to one side or the other (which i believe everyone is, one way or another). At the end of the day, whilst there is no justification for firing rockets into israel and killing innocent people, Israel's retaliations are consistently disproportional to the threat they face (last week 3 israelis were killed, and about 100 palestinians died in the retaliation attacks) which contravenes the conventions of a 'just war'. They consistently contravene UN sanctions without any action taken against them, and the West ought to buck up their ideas and attempt to address the situation rather than blindly supporting zionist oppression. Perhaps there is hope for future reconciliation, look at the culture of Morocco, where Islam and Judaism have co-existed peacefully for centuries and mosques are built next to synagogues! I wont hold my breath though ... |

| News Comment | Kourouma News Next Week at 18:56:17
I would be gutted if this transfer didnt go through because of an admin error or something, havent seen him play and dont know a lot about him, but he has shown a great attitude in trying to get through the extensive red tape which had been preventing the transfer, and the initiative he showed by going back to france himself to make sure his old clubs would give him the clearance he needed indicates a maturity beyond his years and a clear desire to play for the town. Best of luck Cheick! COYB |
| News Comment | Jewell: We're Not Tough Enough at 03:58:31
Gutted by the results from tonight and saturday, but as many posters have already said its early days and we havent had a terrible start to the season, i for one was impressed with the results vs watford and blackburn. Really excited by the prospect of seeing boyd in a town shirt, he has always impressed me whenever ive seen peterborough play, and taylor could be an important player for us too, he scored some absolute screamers last season. The negativity of some posters is ridiculous, calling for jewell's head after three league games (even if we'd lost them all) is ludicrous, we have a young team who will grow and improve, so stop being so negative and get behind your team! |
| News Comment | Jewell: Owner Still As Committed As Ever at 16:51:53
Oldbri - thank you for the link to that insightful article, it has opened my eyes to some of the shadier aspects of our financial situation. I already understood that ME was using the club as a means of reducing his tax losses, i believe this to be common business practice and therefore a sensible thing to do, however i had no idea that our debt had piled up quite so high since his takeover which is very worrying. As long as ME remains commited to the club then his and our interests are shared, but should he ever have a change of heart (like, for example Max Griggs at Rushden & Diamonds) then we'd be in big trouble. Rushden went from mid table in league 1 to the conference, and then liquidation in less than ten years, and their debts were around 2% of what ours are. Lets hope we can get promoted soon and put these fears to rest! On a different note, im delighted to see the club moving towards a sustainable business model, its something which has needed to happen in English football for a long time. |
| News Comment | Town Down to "Bare Bones" For Season Opener at 13:50:00

| News Comment | Scottish Report Claims Edu Deal Close at 10:52:14
PauloJulio - he will not go to leeds, they're f*cked as long as bates remains in charge, and the takeover which was believed to be close to completion collapsed 2 days ago. I live in Leeds and the locals are not happy, and have been told not to expect signings untill theyve made sales. Also, Warnock is looking for a striker, not a midfielder. |
