It's difficult to find an argument against mick going now to be honest.
Skuse, Douglas, Knudsen, Chambers and Best all looked out of depth against non-league opposition. Skuse and Douglas in particular just had absolutely no clue, lumping balls forward with no vision for 90 mins.
Big thanks to Mick for the last couple of years, getting to the playoffs with the team he had (and the budget) was close to a miracle. But for me he has to go now, this showed the level we're playing at.

Seen all games bar blackpool so far this year and this is by far the worst we have played in my opinion. We just look such a joke at the back at the moment...i really like cresswell and chambers but there is clearly a fundamental problem at the back that needs sorting. I also like Jewell and tend to always stick up for him, I'm not calling for him to go just yet as we're only 4 games in but we surely can't just accept another average season!
On the plus side I was a fan of Paul Taylor, a lot of energy and great work ethic, if he finds his finishing boots he could be a real asset....onwards and upwards COYB |

I don't think this is too bad.
Like most people I'm pretty neutral about him definitely don't think he's a bad player but also is never a stand-out player. But the main advantage is as most people have said a bit of height up top (we don't have anybody decent in the air attacking wise at the moment) also probably most importantly gives us better squad depth.
So long as the youngsters get a run out on a consistent basis I think the signing is fine |

The thing is ipswich61 that fans like you make it so depressing to support the team. One bad result is the end of the world! Granted I'm only 23 so I hardly saw the glory days of Ipswich town and have only (really) known us in the top league for two years of my life, but what happened to 'Ipswich til I die' attitude of the fans and the belief regardless of what is going on in the club?? Attendances are dire and the fans that do go only sing when we're winning and on top of that idiots like you can not wait for us to lose so you can have a good old moan about it! Don't get me wrong this is a terrible result but ITS ONE GAME AND WE'RE ONLY 3 IN!!! There's often a shock team who go up too. Norwich had a pretty awful team when they went up, as did blackpool a few years ago and burnley AND Derby, that's just off the top of my head, I'd say we are on par with those teams that went up! So rather than sitting around taking your terrible life out on here how about you get behind the boys and start being a real fan yeah.

I'm glad some people finally started sticking up for the blues at the end, wasn't half depressing reading peoples reactions to the loss!!
I didn't think we were too bad today just a bit too much long ball! And to be fair I do agree that we need a new CB Ingamarson is waayyyy too injury prone.
AGAIN I thought Cresswell was our best player, think he's great! JET was lazy today but do think he's a good player, would like to see him in the middle. Also I do feel people are being a bit harsh on Lee Martin, I thought he did ok today baring in mind how little he got to play last season. Just two games in though people let's be a bit more optimistic for once!! COYBs |

Completely agree with MattinLondon I'm actually excited about the signings we are making for once! I'll admit I'd like to see another centre back preferably but JET Chopra Bowyer are and Cresswell (who I was really impressed with tonight) are all top signings in my opinion. Can't believe how negative Jas0999 is being already if I'm honest...it's pre-season, Liverpool lost to Hull 3-0 a few days ago but none of their fans are whinging like that!! come on back the blues!!!! Looking forward to the season :-) |

i think the difference between murray and wickham is that every time wickham has been given a chance in the first team he has stepped up to the mark! I saw ronan play towards the beginning of the season and i wasnt really too impressed, he just didnt look strong enough and fit enough to keep up with the pace of first team football. Don't get me wrong i think one day he will be a great player but i think playing him for a half is too much, he's not as good as wickham!! I'd be happy to see him play the last 10mins if we're winning a game tho, good luck to the lad!! |
