He will sign with us (bookmark it) I don't know what else you could expect him to say! Even with promotion Tranmere will not be able to offer him anywhere near what we can in terms of wages. They look and average side at best as well and staying in the league next year will be an achievement. Nothing less than promotion back to the Championship would be our expectations. I would say I'm normally a glass half full person, especially in the summer when expectations are high and anticipation for new sigings is exciting! Quoting Mick himelf thou what "a damp squid" of a storey! Free's & loans market eh! bearing in mind we have already missed out on a not so inspiring free in Feeney it doesn't give much room for even the most optimistic of Town fans! I Might be calling it wrong but McCarthy is clearly trying to lower expectations already. He is actually the best man for the job given the restraints he is working under. New investment is needed at Ipswich and ME whilst losing millions each year is obviously content with his Tax set up that is ITFC. |

In or out camp he isn't going anywhere so I'll be fully behind him come the start of the season. Money and budget this window has to go on quality to booster the first 11 and as Mark illudes with promising youngsters coming thru hopefully we won't see the type of signings such as Coke/Toure again this summer. Should we start in the same manner as we finished the season thou I think the brown stuff will certainly hit the fan but I think Mick is well aware of this and knows he hasn't much time to get right this time around. |

He will surely start on Saturday. Says all the right things in his interview which is what you would suspect from a senior pro. After watching the game Tuesday himself thou he must be more than confident that he can make a difference for us. With reference to a few comments I've heard about this being a Fraser replacement I would have thought it was more a Niles replacement and would expect the former to be back with is soon for a much needed boost of ability. |

When is Teddy Bishop gonna be fit, now that would be like a new signing! On other signings we only buy in the bargain basement so no real surprises there! I'd suspect a loan or two later on my be lined up to cover the play offs. A couple of wins will change the low mood no doubt. A couple of defeats mind will see Mick and the board under the most strain for some time. Hoping for the former of course! |
