Agreed - I'd say Rew now ahead of Foakes as well. I'd be cautious about promoting Smith after how they screwed up with Bairstow who was flying as a No 7 keeper/batsman before they started messing with his batting position.
I'm sad to lose his experience and leadership, however I think the club have made the right decision long-term given our needs for a younger midfield . He's about to turn 34 so a new contact on healthy wages would leave us extremely exposed. Likewise I think Sam deserves one last pay day so overall probably the right decision for all parties.
Agreed. Whilst there's matchday demand and strong cash flow, it doesn't make any business sense to sell any more season tickets. More revenue and keeps more fans engaged.
It's possible they could be selling their 5% at a £350m valuation. In a private company shareholders can set their own valuation for their shares providing the shareholder agreement doesn't say otherwise.
I guess he could be acting as the broker - not sure who brokered the Bright Path deal but the Three Lions increased their shareholding at the same time so maybe that was their fee.
That implies it’s maybe just the three Americans looking to cash out as they’re the Three Lions fund. Surely if the whole club was up for sale it’d be led by Gamechanger as a whole and Bright Path as the majority shareholders.
Was quality when available last year but had a few games the season before where he was quite inconsistent.
Wish Axel all the best however, I think for us, it's better we have someone who offers more going forward, as it's likely more teams will sit in against us next season.
