I think it's important fans move on. For all the complaining about our poor start, the continuation of lack of confidence from a dismal relegation etc... It's like the fans haven't got over it yet either. We've hardly helped with really poor atmosphere so far this season. I get it helps when you've got something good to get behind but we have an exciting team. |

Don't think we should judge McAteer on his price tag or we will all be disappointed. Horrifically overpaid and surely everyone knows that? All that matters is he does the job McKenna wants from him ultimately. |
 | Forum Reply | Matusiwa, Cajuste and Nunez at 21:01 30 Aug 2025
I don't think Nunez gets into the team very often at all but just the Norwich tears have made him good value (Good value for fans. 7.5m from a club point of view is borderline insane) |
 | Forum Reply | How long do we keep going with the ‘new team has to gel’ gimmick? at 20:59 30 Aug 2025
Even when you have clearly more quality at Championship level the margins are small. I got a bit of stick last season because statistically based on xG data it was abundantly clear that we were going to get relegated and said as such well before Christmas. You might get an outlier 1 in 20 times but it was also clear McKenna wasn't willing to change enough to fix it. This season is totally different. For all the complaints we are creating more than our opponents in every game. It would again be an extreme anomaly for us not to start converting close to our xG. We aren't as good as some think (data suggests top 2 is already very unlikely based on last 10 seasons) but we should be a top 6 side - so we also aren't as bad as some think. Whether that's good enough for the amount of money spent is a different question. |
 | Forum Reply | Kasey McAteer - here we go! at 13:21 22 Aug 2025
Fee's in general are a little all over the place. We have categorically overpaid but it's the nature of the window. When you say his return in the championship is decent with goals and assists though, what are you basing that on? The boy has one single assist against his name for his entire career! He's a 3m player in reality. But I don't see the point in getting stressed about fees, we aren't directly paying it as fans anymore, the game has long gone from that. If he delivers this season the money will feel irrelevant anyway. If he doesn't, as per his career to date, then it'll feel a waste |
 | Forum Reply | Downes at 10:53 18 Aug 2025
I actually thought Downes struggled against us at times. Not that he isn't a good player. I think he's better than Azor but not enough to warrant trying to go out and spend big money getting him here |
 | Forum Reply | Toxicity at 15:08 14 Aug 2025
There's a big gap between over-expectant, toxic fans and those being critical because we played god-awful against a team promoted from League One and then managed to perform even worse against bl**dy Bromley |

Anyone who's bothered to educate themselves and actually go down and see this in person will tell you it's an unusual sight - so many young males only travelling over here, taking the risk. The brief study's undertaken by a group at the UEA, not sure if will be published, but yeah the free phone stuff is true. It's also weird, you'd think the government would choose refurb cheaper devices etc but no. It's a weird world currently and it's certainly not all Kier's fault as some seem to make out, but it is a serious problem and some of the criminality that's happened according to some of Norfolk Police is massively concerning |

Fans have watched us barely win a game at home for a year. Then struggle hugely against a recently promoted Birmingham. The cup against Bromley could have almost been a nice escape from the rigours of the last however long, instead it was another kick in the teeth. Fans have absolutely every right to feel down-beaten and negative. It's for McKenna and the players to lift fans after long periods of disappointment. |
 | Forum Reply | This is like watching us struggle in the premier league at 21:40 8 Aug 2025
The bigger concern for me is that this Birmingham side is absolutely bang average for the Championship and they've looked better than us all over the pitch. We've not even attempted to stamp our authority. |
 | Forum Reply | Ashley Young set to sign... at 12:57 21 Jul 2025
Not a signing i'd be happy with personally, especially if it's more than a year contract. |
 | Forum Reply | Bye bye Sainz (n/t) at 12:05 10 Jul 2025
Definitely good that they're losing their two best players but the replacements are anything but average from what I've seen. Don't get me wrong, our squad is stronger so we wouldn't be after the same players but for them, the likes of Kvistgaarden, Medic from Ajax and Darling on a free are very good signings by anyones standard at this level. I was most annoyed last season when they signed Ante Crnac as I know some big clubs were watching him and he has the potential to be one of the best in the division in a year or two - Dortmund have already been sniffing. Good news is, it's them so they'll hopefully f**k it all up |
 | Forum Reply | Are you worried we haven’t made a signing yet? at 13:15 20 Jun 2025
I'm only really seeing teams who have changed coach / need serious squad surgery make signings so far really. I'm more interested to see if our recruitment department is capable of making effective signings from non-domestic leagues. |
 | Forum Reply | He is not going to Brentford at 11:57 13 Jun 2025
I really don't think it's worth worrying about. Ultimately coaches / managers leave all the time. He owes ITFC nothing, both have benefitted from the appointment. I believe Brentford will have higher aspirations but if they were to offer him the job, he'd take it. |
 | Forum Reply | Sargent leaving Norwich apparently at 13:31 30 May 2025
Eh? He's more likely to go Low Prem, or MLS. He would be good for us were it not for injuries. Even if poor Norwich sides he's the best goal-to-minute striker at Champs level. The one thing he is is mobile btw, not sure if you've ever watched him?? |
 | Forum Reply | Academy issues? at 09:42 28 May 2025
Agree very little out of it, but a bit chicken-and-egg isn't it? The Academy has been demonstrably ignored and under-funded for so long, putting us behind local rivals and other clubs at Championship level. That then takes time just to catch-up let alone overtake any of them. I suspect the likes of Klug and co have then seen us spend circa £130 million on players and are wondering why £4 or £5 million can't come in the way of the academy to really enable them to move forwards. |
 | Forum Reply | Academy issues? at 07:39 28 May 2025
Ignoring the Norwich bit which is clearly going to frustrated because it's them, the focus should be on why our staff in the Academy are so frustrated and none have a nice word to say about Ashton. It is the regular problem with owners who are looking for a return though. Many of them ignore the academy. Which is fine whilst they're bankrolling the club but one day they won't be. Also, football at it's core has always had an element of enjoyment from watching one of your own. If we are successful on the pitch most won't actually care but the moment we aren't... |
