Pretty much sums up where we are right now.
at 17:34 20 Nov 2021

Consistently inconsistent. Infuriating.

When we are good, we are clinical and can beat any side in this division. Unfortunately them days have been few and far between. Too many days this season left feeling frustrated at missed chances and sloppy defensive performances.

It would take a bold individual to suggest we can lay a glove on the play-offs this year. I can’t see personally right now.
Unbelievable in Bristol Rovers v Oxford game
at 21:35 16 Nov 2021

Oxford scored 2 in 2 minutes in Extra Time to lead 3-1.

They now trail 4-3.

Can we please put manager doubts out of the picture now?
at 23:00 2 Nov 2021

We have a very good manager. A top L1 manager.

Trust him, back him. Still just 16 games with this squad.

We will be just fine with Paul Cook.

What. A. Night

A horrible opening 20, where Wycombe really showed what they are good at, and it’s not pretty, but it works for them.

However, from the point of Celina’s equaliser, we really took control of the game. Whilst we showed some excellent attacking, which we know we can do, I think strong credit must go to the back 5 and Morsy/Evans who really stood up to everything for the rest of the match.

A brilliant night from Cook, his staff, the players and the fans. COYB.
An important win, an emphatic win - we all needed that
at 22:45 19 Oct 2021

After a late equaliser at Cambridge which really felt like a defeat, going to Fratton Park and getting a 4-0 away win is a fantastic way to respond - well done to Cook, Staff, Players & Fans.

You suddenly feel 4 points on the road from two away games isn’t a bad return at all.

We’ve played 13, we are 5 out of the playoffs with a game in hand on some. We are slowly creeping and making ground. Easy to forget there is still 33 games to go, a long long way to go.

Our form looks good;
We sit 3rd in the 5 game form table.
We sit 7th in the 10 game form table.

We are getting there. I get as frustrated as anybody, but stick with it guys. COYB.

Have to be better than that. A shocking game of football.
at 17:29 16 Oct 2021

The standard of football today was abysmal.

I hate away days like that, just a side that is so easily bullied when teams stick it on us. Has happened time and time again. Burton, Cheltenham, Accrington and Cambridge have all done a number on us now.

We look good in fits and starts, yet look so far away from being good enough to compete at the top end of the table.

Cook won’t be going anywhere, and currently I cannot think of a name to replace him, but we have to be so much better.
Form since Lincoln has been good
at 19:55 9 Oct 2021

3 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat in last 5 league games.

10 points out of 15 is a good return.

2 ppg, it’s the type of form we need.

You aren’t going to dominate for 90 minutes, or steam roll teams every single week, especially when teams come to PR and set their stall for a draw from kick-off.

It’s a good 3 points, and we move on to an exciting game next Saturday - looking forward to Cambridge away.

Feeling positive. COYB.
Just what the doctor ordered

Dominant from start to finish, a cut above a poor Doncaster tonight. A confidence boosting display and result.

Thought quality was displayed all over the pitch tonight, and a demonstration on how good this squad really is.

Delighted for the players, delighted for Cook and his staff, delighted for the ownership group, delighted for the fans.

Unbeaten in 3. 2 wins 1 draw. 8 goals scored and 1 conceded. 7 points returned.

Hopefully the foundations for us to really gain some momentum now.

That was an absolute mess
at 17:40 11 Sep 2021

That left me pretty shell shocked today. We should be seeing progression, not regression.

Even the most optimistic of Town fan should be very very concerned by that.

It was so so easy for Bolton today, didn’t have to get out of 1st gear.
A sickener - but still not panicking
at 21:09 28 Aug 2021

Please don’t get me mistaken, of course nobody is happy with the first 5, but 10 was my personal measuring stick, and I’ll personally stick to that.

From my opinion, I think we do so much well in games, and we genuinely throw away good work with constantly shooting ourselves in the foot with poor errors - error from Hladky for the second today.

We do seem to lack confidence, and we do have that fragile look to us, again shown today when we stop playing when we conceded the first, and went into panic mode - hoping this mentality is eradicated the more they play together and trust each other.

Having said all of that, I do believe we do a lot right, and I personally don’t think we are far away from clicking. The first win is critical, and it will feel like a lift, but of course, it needs to come sooner rather than later.

Stick with it guys, COYB.

Formerly a trialist of ours is playing for West Brom v Arsenal tonight.

Only saw him 3 times, and he was eye catching. Was on trial for a very long time if I recall correctly - don’t know what happened with it, but good luck to him.

Not panicking yet
at 10:58 18 Aug 2021

It has been a disastrous start nobody can deny that. However sickening it has been it is still just 3 games, no need to panic yet.

Two annoyances for me currently though
- Fraser operating as a wide man instead a number 10.
- The use of a 4-4-2 when all of Cooks success has come with a 4-2-3-1

I do still firmly believe there is very good individual quality in this squad, but we need to quickly find the formula to make it a very good side.

My pre set was 10 games to see where we are, that will be the end of September, that hasn't changed for me.
Team tonight?
at 09:49 17 Aug 2021

Something like?

Vincent-Young - Woolfenden - Burgess - Coulson
Harper - Evans
Dobra - Fraser - Edwards

Subs - Holy, Bonne, Barry, Donacien, Penney, El Mizouni, Carroll
1 year deal for Carroll (n/t)
at 15:13 16 Aug 2021

Tom Caroll then

Squad completed after this signing I feel.
I’m not sure why there is doom and gloom from some
at 22:50 10 Aug 2021

I have to say - and slightly frustrating to read.

Second game of the season, a team largely filled with youngsters and I have to say there was some shining performances from them tonight.

It was an entertaining game, and we are playing some really good football. A game on another night we win comfortably by 3 or 4 - post twice, one off the line, world class save, good chances squandered.

Certainly falls into ‘one of those nights’ category tonight.

Have to say a notable mention to Dobra, El Mizouni, Humphreys and Clements who I thought we all brilliant tonight.
