 | News Comment | McKenna: Performance a Step Up From Last Week at 16:36:43
Don’t disagree with his comments and it’s clear he’s very frustrated (rightly) with other comments regarding the lack of signings. We’ve lost two very very good creative players who score goals this week - with no replacements signed. Had just one senior striker in the match day squad. Each to their own, but for me, it’s simply not good enough. Next we will be hearing the team needs time to gel! |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Southampton - Match Report at 16:18:15
A point in isolation is okay. But just two points, and knocked out of the cup is an underwhelming start to the season. Utterly dreadful for title favourites to have just one striker available as well. It’s time for Ashton to stop selling and start buying. There is no excuse. This window has been poor for incoming players and it showed. The performance was better than last two games, but we need quality to replace Hutchinson, Broadhead and Delap. Arguably we have lost our three key goal scorers. Hirst run himself into the ground, but didn’t look like scoring. Hopefully much better to come and ten home games without a win is very poor. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Al-Hamadi Out With Calf Injury at 16:12:46
We need tow strikers. Terrible for title favourites not to have a striker on the bench so early in the season. A complete failure by the club. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We Don't Expect Azón to Join the Club This Window at 16:10:37
Absolutely ridiculous going into the third game of the season with one striker. We seem to have wasted a lot of time this windows on players not anting to join. AAH May be injured, but equally nowhere near good enough. Time for Ashton to stop selling and start buying. |
 | News Comment | Blues Host Saints Aiming to End Home Woes at 20:08:58
Nine straight home defeats remains extremely poor at any level of football. No excuses on Sunday. As favourites for the title, three points should be the expectation. Read a lot on forums that Southampton look stronger … if so, that’s a failing from Ma to do deals earlier enough. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Philogene Back Training, Matusiwa Should Be Ready For Sunday at 16:07:24
The importance of doing business early in the window and also ensuring adequate. Replacement for sales quite clearly demonstrated by where we are. Going into game three of the season and some players aren’t fit enough. Hopefully, this won’t be used as an excuse. It’s up to th club to ensure we have the players available (barring injuries). As the favourites to the win the title, a home game, anything less than three points would for me, be disappointing. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: I'd Liked to Have Kept Broadhead at 16:03:21
Can’t wait to see what exceptional permanent signings MA will be completing. Squad still looks weak in places - as confirmed by KMc. Hopefully some big fees are being agreed to replace the players we seem to have easily sold. |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson Travelling to Forest For Medical at 11:56:40
£30M for Delap. £37.5M for Hutchinson. £10M for Broadhead. I bet MA is in for a nice bonus! One fee for a player and four loans, who may or may not be here next season depending on whether we gain promotion. Disappointing. Oh well, moving on - good luck Omari. |
 | News Comment | Forest 'Close to Agreeing Hutchinson Fee' at 21:35:22
Can’t wait to see exceptional permanent additions finally bought in. Big big fees. Can’t keep relying on loans after flogging OUR best p layers. |
 | News Comment | Broadhead's Wrexham Move Confirmed at 17:50:42
Despite the excellent deal for the club, it’s really sad to see him go. I really rate him and think this actually leaves a gap. Broadhead has skills, a goal threat and creates. Another one of our players sold or moving on. Hope the loans are equally as good or preferably better. Time will tell if KM and MA have got this right … fingers crossed. |
 | News Comment | Como Striker Azón Set to Complete Town Loan Switch at 10:17:01
This will be FOUR loans now. Very disappointing. Back to square one next summer if we don’t get promoted. Can’t agree with selling our players. Like Broadhead and bringing in loans. |
 | News Comment | Broadhead Travelling to Wrexham After Fee Agreed at 09:59:10
Without a doubt, a great deal for the club considering he has only a year left on his contract. But for me, Broadhead is one of our better players - provides a spark, a goal and creativity. When Hutch also departs, I hope we have identified some permanent additions to the team (three loans is more than enough already). Wishing Broadhead all the very best for the future. Great player. |
 | News Comment | Woodman: An Amazing Result at 10:18:30
Congratulations to him and Bromley. Far too good for McKenna and the Ipswich players. |
 | News Comment | Muric's Serie A Loan Confirmed at 10:08:15
Well done to Mark Ashton - doing a great job getting rid of players. Our players. Not so good bringing players in. Awful in fact. We need new permanent additions. Got enough loans now. Not convinced with the GK situation at the club. Walton wasn’t great last night and Palmer not convincing on Friday. |
 | News Comment | Chaplin: In Spells We Lacked Urgency at 07:49:50
It’s not AAH fault. The lad simply isn’t good enough. The fault lies with the manager and CEO who have incompetently failed to sign good enough players in a timely manner. Inexcusable going into season with AAH as our number two striker. |
