Last two January windows were perfect. We're having a good go at making this one the same!

It will be great to see us play there. Have been once before to see Liverpool Bournemouth in a league cup tie but to see Town there again will be brilliant.

Can we do a Forest?!

Kitman has been getting Clarke and Delap's shorts mixed up all season. Poor lads.

Could be the key to staying up if he can return the shorts to rightful owners.

Delap would be freed up to move at even more pace.

Clarke would be freed of the drag the current pair causes.

Anyone feeling glum or despondant...
at 10:52 20 Jan 2025

I agree.

I actually feel strangely upbeat after yesterday. The game had been over since they scored the second and it was more about how we would react and how the crowd would react.

I was proud that we kept trying to play. City can run over anyone like that but we didn't lose our heads despite the goals and the players kept going.

It was moving to be part of that roar at the end and the 'Blue Army' in front of the players felt important.

It's been a sensational effort just to be in with a chance of staying up and I think we will.

For the reasons you outline, I think we have the best chance of those teams. We've held our nerve in the last two seasons and we will hold it again.

We're so lucky as supporters to have a manager and team like this. It's worth remembering that if we'd narrowly missed out on the championship play offs 8 months ago it would have still been seen as an excellent season! That we are here in this league and competing is outstanding.

All together now to the end.

Our Support (in the stadium and on here) is still really positive, isn't it?

I'm in upper North too. Found it really moving - really loud as you say, defiant and passionate.

Players and KM stayed for a long time.

This manager and these players have given us so much. Proud to be a be a supporter and we will back them to the end.

Blue Army!

Blimey - Cunha to Arsenal would really help... Hope that happens! Good points re keepers. Agree about Cajuste too - one of his less effective games for us and noticeable because he's generally been excellent.

Morsy is so important to us.

Keep the faith. Long way to go yet. We will stay up.

Can understand that view even if I don't totally agree with it. He's definitely been inconsistent.

Yes! Johnson did a really good job of getting straight onto Doku and defended well in that opening half hour. The two goals from that side came because of the quality of City's play. Johnson had to be inside and couldn't then get out to Doku as you'd like. He did manage it about 15 times before but they cut you apart with their movement and take your legs away! No shame in it. Didn't think it was terrible blunders on our part, just world class players. If you're a yard short you get punished.

Godfrey has a nice turn of pace on him and a good touch. Slightly unsure when he gets into the opposition final third but that can be improved.

Yeah I agree. I think he's trying to give everyone game time and reward training/performances but we need some continuity now.

Thought Johnson and Godfrey did fairly well on the right.

For my money Burg and O'Shea are our best defenders.

But Greaves and Woolfy both excellent players. It's not easy to settle on a backline!

I thought we played well for the first 30. Really good heart and concentration and played some good football on counter.

They are just a world class side and once you're a few goals down there aren't many sides that can deal with it.

I thought we were brave and tried to do the right things.

Morsy good, Philogene looks very exciting, Delap his usual self, Johnson very good i thought. Axel is back.

Reflected in crowd at end. KM and players seemed to appreciate it. Good energy. We can stay up. Onwards!

Agree. He's an excellent keeper, still young and has had some good performances for us. Made some great saves and been good in the air. Needs our support and not scapegoating.
