Morsy on KM "My first impressions of the manager were that he was thorough and really detailed. In his first statements and how he spoke at meetings, he said he wanted this club to be a big club again and explained what it would be like." I think I knew instantly,” he says. “He said he wanted us to be a big club, the training and individual coaching were very good, so in week one you’re thinking: ‘OK, this is going to be good.’ I was 30 and you want to be enjoying your football, it can’t be a chore. We had a conversation, he told me what he thought, I said I feel good and I’m always looking to improve. He’s pushed me ever since.” Km on Morsy "I think we have an absolutely outstanding captain both on and off the pitch,” McKenna said of Morsy. "Someone who leads by example day to day on the training pitch and somebody who leads by example on the pitch in games. We couldn't ask for any more in terms of the leadership that we have." 💙💙💙 If it has to end, I hope the club do something to give Samy a real send off. Still think we should have offered the extension. |

Hmmmmmmmmm. I think there's a bit of revisionism going on here. Won't miss him as a player? I think we will. He had the second most minutes last season. Played well I thought throughout the season. I agree midfield is an area where lack of elite athleticism is an issue and we need to improve (Azor V exciting signing) but I think Morsy is still capable of playing at the highest level. KM seemed to suggest he was expecting Sam to stay. I can understand it's tricky and he's got to do the right thing for his family but it feels like a big loss to me. |

Exactly! His style so unique to him. Never seen anyone pivot like him. Running back to goal to show for the keeper, arm pointing downward at his feet indicating that he wants it, totally calm when under pressure, gets the ball, shields it under contact, then that movement of his where he turns with ball under such close control and into the drive away, holding off the other player and those hands splayed as he pumps like a sprinter, 4,5,6,7 yards clear then looks for the forward pass to get us on front foot. Repeat a thousand times a game. Magic. |

It's the same chaos but arguably worse because of the hypocrisy. I don't know what it is going to take to end the 'the quiet sensible grown ups are back in the room' delusion. A government without principles, ability or character at a moment of national crisis. It's just the Morgan Mcsweeney show, which was all about wrecking the left of the party, making sure that BlackRock was on the invitation list and the 'important' people got their jobs back and getting power. Nothing more than that. |

Quite! Larsen Toure perhaps?! It is exciting! |

Appreciate these days it's nothing for the big clubs, but is it just me who gets a thrill simply reading that we're spending 10 million on a midfielder from abroad etc? Still not used to it! All those years of 'quiet transfer window expected at Portman Road' and Hawkins, Ward and Cornell etc etc. Great to have a Dutchman back in a Town shirt too! |

Definitely. He needed to play at a higher level - the sad and shocking truth is he was way too good for us at that point. He'd played a lot of games for us at a young age - people forget that. |

Brilliant if so. Top player. Exactly what we need in there. Was great when he broke through under Mick and was then pretty much our best player by some distance during very difficult period. I remember his first team debut at preseason friendly at Posh. What I always liked about him was his willingness to do the simple things well. Read the game, win the ball, give it quickly. Intelligent player. Also really admired him for speaking out about mental health etc when he had that tricky patch and then went on loan. |

Noel has more than enough dosh so I don't reckon it's solely financial. As he says, it's a lap of honour for the band. |

Will be great! Especially in Manc! |

You too! I can't decide whether to try and avoid Friday completely or if it's inevitable that I'll eventually cave and watch some before the Wembley gig... |

I'm going to Wembley. Can't wait either!!! They are the last great rock n roll band. |

Nightmare! Must have been some reaction when they announced it to the crowd...😬😬 The thing is, if Oasis aren't close to being one of the greats, then who in the past 30 years is? The Masterplan b sides album should have been the third album proper. If it had, that would have been some trilogy. |

I think Noel is sensitive but was on a mission and wouldn't let anything get in the way. The Chief... Falling Down is great! That whole album is ace. |

Liam is a big softie really. Rock n roll stars aren't supposed to behave! |

Agree. It was a phony war really. And two of the weakest singles! Wasn't it blur moving the single date that started it? |
