Trialist Andoh to Sign in January
at 15:48:33

No idea if he'll be any good, but should bring some much needed physicality and height to the defence if he plays.

Town Confirm Collins Signing
at 15:40:15

Excellent signing, loads of experience, a real presence, and useful to have around the dressing room. May be rusty to begin with but should add a sure head and can hopefully stop some of the soft goals we've conceded if he stays fit.

Worst case scenario he doesn't work out, in which case it doesn't matter as it's a short term contract.

Welcome!

New Defender McCarthy's Priority
at 15:49:29

Toxtethblue - we don't have 8m just sitting in the bank, even signing out of contract players and frees costs money.

Also, McGhee is 19 as stated, not 22.
I'd rather we pay the right figure rather than overpay, a high price doesn't guarantee quality. Look at Priskin.

QPR Linked With £20,000-a-Week Pratley

If those are the wages he's after then no thanks.

Would rather we got a couple of younger, hungrier midfielders with an eye for goal.

Chaplow Signs on Loan
at 15:59:18

Clearly not signed with a view to jump the queue in front of our other midfielders, but to provide experience, good cover and that little bit of extra competition.

A one month initial loan is also very sensible so if he doesn't play or impress in any game time he gets back he'll have cost us very little.

He and Varney should both be chomping at the bit to get playing again, so with the added enthusiasm may just add a little extra to our promotion/play-off push.

Lets get behind these players rather than lower the mood - Mick has done exceptionally well with nearly all signings so far (Bajner and Sammon the only obvious flops, Collison was never fit).

Lita on Target as Town Win at Braintree
at 14:12:06

Lita definitely has a bit of "journeyman" about him. However, there are worse strikers out there we've been linked with. Connor Sammon anyone? I'd take Lita over someone like him, at least Lita has a reasonable scoring record.

Hopefully we'll get someone better than him though, a poacher who's hungry and motivated.

Parr to Meet Town on Monday - Updated
at 12:27:40

It doesn't necessarily mean Mick doesn't trust Mings. As good as Mings has looked when he's played, he still hasn't played that many games at this level and Mick was always going to get someone else in so we at least have 2 decent players for that position.

Parr would be a good signing, a good age, good experience and obviously keen to play regular football rather than pick up a pay packet and sit on the bench in the PL.

McGoldrick Out for 10 Weeks
at 12:59:15

Horrible news. And with a squad already as small as ours, our main goal threat and creative force out it does look very bleak for Play Offs now (what chance there was left).

Let's hope SEB can get match fit and stay fit and chip in with a few goals, maybe it will give Taylor a chance to prove his worth before the seasons over as well.

I doubt there's any proven goalscorers out there in the loan market.

Marriott Offered New Deal
at 15:00:27

Excellent news, looking forward to seeing him get some games in for ITFC in the New Year.
It's early days, but I'm expecting big things for him, he's got his head screwed on and knows that at the moment he hasn't done anything. Here's to hoping he turns out to be the player we all think he'll be.

Town Confirm Hunt Deal
at 11:58:09

A decent signing that is relatively risk-free. Yes he's 32, and yes he's had a bad year or so with injuries, but proven at this level and Premiership level, experienced, and a natural wide player for the left-hand side which we've been missing.

Worth a punt to help add some creativity and width, and if it doesn't work out then we've only splashed out on a couple of month's wages.

McCarthy: Fryatt Link Bonkers

I actually think he'd be a good addition, has a decent scoring record in the Championship. Either that, or give Taylor a decent run in the team with McGoldrick.

Allen: Town Not Team of Real Quality
at 11:45:25

Anyone who rates a team's quality after watching a pre-season friendly designed mostly to regain match fitness and get a squad gelling is an idiot. It's extremely rare you ever hear a manager say another team lacked quality, usually they give a positive vibe off to their own team by saying the other team were exceptional or something similar.

He looks a prat, but either way, none of us nor Town will lose sleep on it.

Chopra Still Planning to Stay at Town
at 09:45:12

Not sure where he got the idea that the fans love him, the amount of abuse he gets on Twitter, and his petulant, immature responses to them time and time again suggest otherwise.

Really thought we were signing a maturing, proven goalscorer when we got him. Unfortunately he's been a huge liability, and a gamble that's still costing us.

Murray Joins Plymouth as Carson and Scotland Also Set for Moves
at 15:26:19

Nice to see Mick's happy for players to go out on loan if they're not getting in the squad. If there's no place for them in the team for the short-term, it's great for players like Carson to go out and play some regular football elsewhere rather than halt their progression. Could do them the world of good.
