McGuinness: Vital We Take Three Points From Burton Game
at 15:50:19

These player "it's vital we win the next game" statements every Monday are becoming tiresome. I think McGuiness has done ok and will probably go on to play at a higher level, but it is getting embarrassing to read. Unfortunately it all sounds like excuse after excuse. We have a bigger squad than other teams, so despite the injuries, should perform better than we do. PL needs to change his game plan, as we just don't have enough players who are capable of passing the ball from the back into the opposition's net. We struggle to get it past the half way line before passing back again. My opinion is that PL has had enough time and should now go.

Dozzell: It Wasn't Good Enough, But If Stay Positive We Can Turn It Around
at 20:48:57

The only thing that is different about this, is that the player has been sent out before Monday to tell us what we already know. This criticism is not aimed at Dozzell, but at the sad state of affairs we find ourselves in.

Ipswich Town 0-2 Charlton Athletic - Match Report
at 19:07:01

I think PL has reached the end of the road. There seems to be something fundamentally wrong at the club and I cannot see anything improving under PL. Regardless of the injuries we have no shape, organisation, desire, creativity, goalscoring or any clue on tactics. It is sad to watch. Evans needs to sell up and/or bring in someone to prevent an inevitable (on current form) slide down the table. Burley with a younger sidekick maybe?
I wonder what player will be sent out on Monday to give the usual "we are gutted, hurting, but we were brilliant" interview......

Lincoln City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 08:26:57

This is a disappointing result. I had hoped for a better reaction after Tuesday. I watched the Doncaster game and saw positives (some good passing). However, we don't have a cutting edge and too many fall away when we concede. I think there needs to be a toughness which we don't seem to have. Passing around at the back is all well and good if it continues further up the pitch. Too often on Tuesday we were pegged back and it sounds like this is what happened against Lincoln. The next two games need to be much better if we are to avoid another slide down the table. PL needs to show more discipline and would do well to avoid so many "we are brilliant" comments.

Lankester, Ward, Bishop and Hawkins Start at Lincoln
at 14:39:02

It always amazes me how some on here are negative before the game has even started....
This looks like a good line up. PL has not made too many changes and they seem reasonable to me. Let's hope for a better overall performance than Tuesday. COYB!

Sears Returns as Hawkins Misses Out

It is good to see a settled team selection. I assume that Hawkins has some sort of niggle to not be included. I am hoping for a good win today. COYB!

Taylor: Massively Disappointed
at 08:55:35

I agree with WhoisJimmyJuan...... please do not label fans as stupid when they express disappointment. I think we all have to agree that Town is in a bad situation, both in terms of league position and having a real strategy/opportunity of regaining past successes. We have been in decline since Magilton was sacked and it is hard to see how we are going to improve under the current regime (Owner and Management team). But, without any sign of a new owner with cash to splash we have to try and hope that this season is better than last and support the team. Yes, I am very disappointed with how things have gone the last 10 years. However, this doesn't also make me stupid.

League One Decision Set for Further Delay

Thank goodness those on the EFL board have no influence on bringing the country out of lockdown, or are working on the NHS frontline. I appreciate that this is a very tricky situation, but it is being handled very badly.

Town Close to Furloughing Staff

I believe this article is referring to the off field staff. I think it is a good gesture of Evans to pay the remaining 20% as these staff will not be earning high salaries.

Dobra on Target as U23s Draw at Cardiff
at 08:24:03

Please play Dobra in all the remaining games. If he doesn't play he may get frustrated and look for a move away. Although U23 is not a great standard, young players will never 'push on' if not given enough minutes in the first team.

Blues Look to Revive Faltering Season Against High-Flying Sky Blues
at 07:54:32

I have no idea what the team will be, but it doesn't seem to matter who plays. There is a distinct lack of characters who have the ability to instill confidence and dominate a game. It is very sad to admit, but it has become very predictable....... we must win, apathetic performance from most of the team, move the ball around but cannot make that decisive pass, cannot score from 10 chances, post match "we dominated but were so unlucky".....
I hope I am proved wrong, but......

Keane: Getting Run of Games Has Been Great For Me
at 07:48:05

I actually feel a bit sorry for Keane. To be this deluded sums up what is wrong at the club. Obviously it is good to see him fit and getting games, and he seems like a decent person. But, to have a 'striker' with such a poor goal ratio proves the lack of ambition and casual attitude that has taken over.

Blackpool 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 09:32:29

I have just watched the highlights on Sky. It has become obvious that our strike force is generally incapable of hitting a barn door. I saw a couple of strikes from just outside the penalty area that were woeful. Do they not practice shooting in training? I do think that some of the players stroll around as if it is a practice/training match, which is just not good enough. For all his "the players gave it everything, they are really, really good" in post match public comments, I really hope that Lambert is kicking a few backsides behind closed doors. In other professions Lambert would have been sacked. Imagine a car salesperson telling their boss "the cars are great, really, really good" after selling one in 3 months. They would be asked to improve or leave. Lambert has been rewarded with a 5 year contract! The problem with the club starts at the top and works its way down.

Ipswich Town 0-1 Oxford United - Match Report
at 21:27:32

Very disappointing after scoring 4 last week. There is a fragility about the players which I can't understand. On paper we have the players to do well, but they just don't 'do it'. We seem to need 100 chances to score 1, which is hopeless. Why put Sears on so late in the game?? I think Mick Mills is right...... everything has become too casual. There is no fight or creativity and Lambert is far too slow to make mid game changes. Dear oh dear, what a massively disappointing season this has become.

Lambert: Home Games Make or Break
at 08:17:48

I think we need to be more adventurous, rather than sticking with the current Skuse like plodders. I have nothing against Skuse or Chambers as they have been great advocates for the club, but they have also been part of a failing team. Is it now too late to throw more youngsters in though? The period of squad rotation did a lot of damage in confidence and coherence, and we are now in a position where the players don't seem to know how to play together. Sears will never get match fit if he doesn't play, so give him decent game time. Also, give Dobra a chance. I think it has all got too predictable and stale and needs freshening up, as other teams know how to win games against us. Come on Lambert, be brave.

AFC Wimbledon 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 07:57:17

I do wonder if some of the players thought that we would walk this league after dropping down. If they did, how deluded they are. On paper we have some good players who are seriously underperforming. What we do not have however is a tough spine to the team. From the back to the front we appear lightweight compared to other teams. Knocking the ball around neatly at the back will not win matches in this league. We need to be much stronger and clinical, but I cannot see where it will come from at the moment. Sad times.
