 | Forum Reply | Zelenskyy temporarily giving up land to Russia for NATO membership? at 14:32 30 Nov 2024
Interestingly (surprisingly), Trump's foreign policy picks seem to be all "adults" and pro Ukraine. In general, non US Nato counties are now spending more on defence and have also provided more financial support to Ukraine, than the US. So, it may be enough to mollify him. Anyway, I am more hopeful for Ukraine/NATO now than I was before his picks. Fingers crossed... |

People like Hancock really irritate me too. They are just grifters, being deliberately dis-honest, peddling half-baked lies as "theories/facts"to non-scientific minded/trained people. I'll stick with Youtubers like Stefan Milo and Anton Petrov, presenting evidence and discussion topics in a non sensationalist but still interesting manner for laymen like me. As a matter of interest, do you follow any youtubers channels within your community? [Post edited 19 Oct 2024 13:44]

 | Forum Reply | Yerevan or Tbilisi or both? at 17:10 17 Oct 2024
Hopefully, Georgia will have had a peaceful transfer of power after this month's elections and it doesn't explode into civil unrest... Hopefully a very weak Armenia can successfully pivot away from a weakened Russia to the protection of the West, before Turkish backed Azerbaijan decides to either borrow back the rest of the small amount of disputed, currently Armenian held territory that they still hold, or take the whole country (their last war was only last year)... Anyway, I am sure that both countries are well worth a visit in peaceful times. Just check the refund terms and conditions in case you need to cancel, or evacuate. :) [Post edited 17 Oct 2024 17:12]

Care to elaborate on your down vote GB? Yahoo has systematically dismantled the 2 state peace accord signed by Arrafat and Rabin. Rabin was subsequently assassinated by a Yahoo supporting religious fanatic...I would suggest that this is where the current conflict began and that yahoo and his ilk have not exactly being pushing for peace since then have they? In fact the opposite because they quite obviously want to take all of "their", "insert dubious historical claim here", lands back. Religious tw*ts gotta do religious tw*tery things... |

Who's saying that "Lebanon" is "allowing" themselves to be be used as a proxy? Your Iranian friends can be accused of the same thing in this case too? That is "allowing" a minority with the most guns to dictate policy, to the detriment of the majority. So, if your Iranian friend't can't get rid of their government, how do you think the Lebanese can get rid of Hezbollah? Personally speaking, if I was the Israeli government, for the last 2 or 3 decades, since the peace agreement with Fatah/PLO was signed and the new threat from a Shia Iran was realised, I would have been arming anti-regime forces and promoting a revolution/civil war in Iran, instead of wasting resources on these proxies. Anyway, it's now a mess deliberately created/begun by this Israeli government and their religious extremist ideology. |
 | Forum Reply | A war in which tens of thousands are being killed at 21:13 15 Oct 2024
I didn't mean to imply that "no good guys" would be a justification for lack of media coverage in every situation, just that Sudan and Myanmar are "messy"? Anyway, Cannaa was the birthplace of the god of war adopted by the Israeli settlers and subsequently their competing Abrahamic ideologies of Christianity and Islam. Therefore, you are going to have potentially, several billion interested observers cheering on one side, or the other and who think that their side are the "good guys". And yes, I agree about the real victims of these pointless conflicts, the innocent civilians. |

Maybe because in both conflicts, there is a lack of "good guys" to get behind? The governing Junta in Myanmar is a horrid regime, but the opposition groups are mostly funded and backed by some very dubious parties and means (drug warlords etc). Meanwhile, both Junta and oppositions are looked upon with trepidation by the Rohingya. Whilst in Sudan the government is another typical African, tribal/family/ego driven, corrupt regime and the opposition worse (imo) due to its force composition including the Janjaweed. |

With your insider knowledge of the manned space programs, do you know if Ground Control have been able to contact Major Tom yet? I'm very worried for him because, some of the last communications heard were; "your circuit's dead", "there's something wrong" and "Can you hear me, Major Tom?". It doesn't sound too good for him, but I'm hoping that he successfully re-entered his tin can and they find him shopping with his beloved wife in our Planet Blue... COYB |

ffs. It's really annoying when they do that. Any idea which broadcaster has the rights to the game in East Africa (excluding Eritrea and Ethiopia)? |
