Never a dull moment being an ipswich fan! Christ, how ever much it hurts when the team implodes and has a shocker you have to admit we are in a much better, stronger 'team' position than we have been in years.
The direction we are moving in and the basis of the team MM/TC are building is exciting, young and a platform for future success. The return we have had this season already without high risk spending (FFP) we would have cut our arm off for last season under PJ around this time.
Us fans really have to be patient and not panic- you don't go from disorganised, tactically inept and mentally poor, to disciplined, ruthless and winning week in week out overnight. What's important is that things ARE improving and MM/TC know what they are doing- comparing them to RK and PJ its like the difference between jaa jaa binks and yoda.
It concerns me how quick the negativity spreads, its more embarrassing than tonights result to be honest! and being a tractor boy living in scumland trust me- tonights result hurts and is embarrassing!!! But i for one will stay firmly 100% behind the team, positivity is everything........ if you expect a dog to bite you, it probably will.
I was there last night and overall pleased with the performance too, it can't be easy changing the team completely during the match- unsettling but everyone seemed to be working hard. I do hope Carson gets time this season, i was impressed with his attitude during warm up and he seems to be enjoying himself as do the whole squad! It will be interesting to see how we fair against proper! position- defensively i think we are there at least! COYB
I think he looks kamakaze and quite a character! As already mentioned, check out the two footer on his own player haha!
The interview on player today is good, love the french arogance/confidence, the guy hasn't played for a while through injury, Steve Pearce asks him how long till he will be fit, the reply, 'I am naturally fit, one game one week and i will be fit' love it!
Really hope it works out for you kelly! Looking forward to seeing some crunching tackles, looks like our defence is starting to take shape and potentially be quite formidable!
Although i agree to a certain extent with Devontractor that infrastructure and a settled team would be desirable before PL, if it were to happen sooner rather than later then i would not be too worried. If we can beat the wage capping rules by squeezing into PL it will be good for the club and make us attractive for signings. Also the money generated should mean quality signings which will help keep us in the PL. I pretty sure ME will want to do whatever is reasonably possible in order to stay in PL once it happens! there are positives to be taken whatever the outcome this season! ITID COYB!
Makes me laugh that people are saying don't judge a player by youtube! OF COURSE DON'T! For gods sake they are not going to put a mash of bad play are they! i for one always have a gander on youtube at new players, its exciting to see what they can do on their day and Struna looks VERY exciting, quick, inventive as well as young! He is in their national team and i reckon someone to keep an eye on for the future............ Please come to PR! COYB!
Good luck conner im sure your destined for massive success, my favourite goal from you was probably the newcastle away game although obviously the blades goal was legend. Storm the premier league chap!
Chuffed with the result, chuffed with the way we are playing, chuffed with the increase in confidence, chuffed with the manager, COYB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to watch the Bullard goal back! Screeeeeeeeeeeeeaaamer!
Houghton would be my number one, under stated modest and got newcastle playing some good attacking football. Or the brighton pair! Would be better than someone big and arrogant like alardyce! !!
