Mick did a fantastic job …. Remember where we started when he took over and he kept us in the Championship on a shoe string. He has every right to mention the budget because ,I love McKenna and agree he has done a fantastic job, but would he have done it without the budget….
If he had played sexy football with the squad he had we would be heading for the conference.
All those who conclude otherwise are naive or worse.
When he left we were sent into league 1 wilderness.
It’s thanks to the new owners and their budget , the wonderful coaching of Kieran that we are on the up.
I thought time would dilute the memories of the end of big Mick and it would be concluded it was a consequence of the Marcus Evans project but no still people with no football knowledge offer their uneducated opinions. |

Great start and do many positives…. One negative for me is Hutchinson…. How is he any better than Edwards…. He is too lightweight at that level…. He needs to strengthen his upper body.. no doubt he will eventually be a very good footballer but we are in the here and now.

He did a wonderful job in stabilising the club in the championship. His remit was to keep us in the division on a shoestring.
If he had the budget that KM has you would have seen a different team.
The football was not great but we were in the championship.
The football is great now but we are stuck in division 3 (league1) and struggling to get out with a massive budget.
Get real and understand MM ‘s remit. He loved it at Ipswich and he was passionate to do a good job.

Obviously you cannot see how talented Baggott is…. probably someone who can't see a footballer….it sad… I remember all the people at Portman Road last season who not one but two times in a game go mad when a ball was thighed back to the keeper… they needed explanation as to why that was not a pass back… sad….
19 years old in league one… hardly a massive problem is for an international footballer? |

The other point is our ability to score goals from corners…. Not directly linked to Baggott but we must attack corners offensively better and defend corners …. Remember Oxford….
We will never get out of that division unless we improve our set play techniques…

Butcher's first game was quite frankly awful… a gangly boy… whose legs were all over the place.. average performance I'm sure Terry would agree… but the manager believed in him which is worth a million pound… that is why Keiran Dyer resigned. |

This is poor man management for me. Does the manager want him as a player in an Ipswich shirt or not? If yes tell him that and give the young man something to hang onto. If not accept a reasonable fee and let him go so he can bed down at another club. |
