Why is it always assumed McKenna will get the best out of players? He hasn’t with Clark, SS or Greaves for example...but hopefully he’ll play him in his proper position and just let him get on with it |

He needs to start acting like a true professional and proper Premier League player if he wants to become one regularly...you wouldn’t see one of them downing tools, refusing to play and acting like a spoilt brat..... oh. Has he moved out of his flat yet? |
 | Forum Reply | Sibley or Hameed for Crawley? at 06:56 16 Jul 2025
Very, very unlikely Foakes will ever play for England again, they’ve moved on from him. If Smith were to open, Pope would take over as keeper and move down the order to 7 with Bethell coming in at 3. I think they’re determined to start the Ashes with Crawley no matter what he does, Pope may be at more risk if he fails again twice at Old Trafford but they might consider Pope as keeper and swapping places with Smith before ditching Pope altogether as they seem to like him and he is vice captain. Bethell may have to wait for an injury or a calamitous run of form from a player or the team before getting another chance.... |

I use Starling which I find great for nearly everything. However, and this probably applies to Revolution too, when you check in at a hotel and they ask to put a deposit on your card to cover the bill when you leave for food or drink expenditure, room charges etc, they won’t accept a debit card and you’ll have to use a credit card. But it’ll only be a hold and they don’t physically charge your card, and you can actually pay any bill when you leave using Starling or a debit card anyway. |

Didn’t think much to 28 Days Later when I watched it originally and watched it again last night...my opinion hasn’t changed. Started well, finished poorly. I always thought 28 Weeks Later was much better and am watching it tonight on Prime. Really looking forward to the new one. Zombieland probably my favourite too, although no zombie movie will ever beat the first 7 seasons of Walking Dead for me....loved that show |

And 5 days to a week before you go and while you’re there, start taking a daily anti histamine...it won’t stop you burning but it might ease or prevent the symptoms including prickly heat. Assuming it’s ok for you to take anti histamines of course....Definitely not proven medical advice, just an anecdotal suggestion. Works for my missus |

 | Forum Reply | Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they need a break from football? at 07:00 19 May 2025
I think the whole first team squad have felt that for some time now..they talk a good game but inside they must be drained and it’s shown on the pitch, they’ve just not seemed mentally as sharp as they need to be. Hopefully those that remain will reset and new faces add some new energy so we hit the ground running in July. A good performance and a win on Sunday though would go a long way towards lifting the mood substantially around the whole place during the break.... |
 | Forum Reply | Commentators you’ve liked and never really liked? at 06:42 12 May 2025
Totally agree...he’s awful. When a player shoots or has a chance, he just shouts their name e.g. “It’s Mohammed Salah!!”, Must do it 20 times a game. Infuriating. Sky need to offer stadium noise only option like Amazon do for when this plank is commentating. Barry Davies is best football commentator ever. Peter Alliss, Bill McLaren and Richie Benaud are best ever in other sports. |

I disagree...I think it’ll be great fun to watch this conclude. Doesn’t affect us as we know he isn’t staying and we know how much money we’ll have to work with. I know that he may not have chosen to come to us if we’d set a higher release clause, but still can’t help feeling it was poor foresight (and wonderful hindsight) to only make it £30m. |

They still wouldn’t have made enough difference to counterbalance our tendency to defend poorly and be overrun consistently in midfield... |

We don’t think immigrants are to blame for everything... successive Labour or Tory councils are to blame for the poor roads, infrastructure and local services in Lincolnshire which is why many have opted today to let someone else have a go. Nothing to do with being anti immigrants, although net immigration is much too high. Pledging to earmark significantly more of the new housing being built around the county for younger, contributing British people who’ve been born and grown up here was also a good way to garner favour... |

Still four years away from SP age, but if the government offered me £100k and arranged visas for my wife and I to live in Canada, we’d gladly leave and forego any claim for two pensions and save them potentially £500k future payments. Happy to do our bit... |

Yeah...refusing to buy American products or Teslas because you don’t like Trump and Musk, but then saying you have no qualms about buying from China is virtue signalling hypocrisy of the highest order. How have China suddenly become the cuddly, good guys in some people’s minds? |

Thank fk you’re not a diplomat... I like your football posts but you seem way too emotional and invested in the Trump/Ukraine/Russia stuff. Tone the rhetoric down a notch might be good... |

Sorry Saffren, some of your posts about realism and the EPL this season I’ve agreed with, but this is just pure tosh...of course another promotion race will be exciting, although I hope we’re well out on front by Feb 26 |
