I was at the game but as I was too late to be able to get tickets in the away end (Long story, involving Hurricane Dorian and a rubbish airline), we had to sit amongst the home supporters. We sat just the other side of the dugout in the Medway stand and I took my Charlton Season ticket holder friend. I was going on to him about how atmospheric we are as away supporters and he was surprised with how quiet we actually were.

We are not always going to be loud and proud and we were quiet on Saturday. When we scored there were some singing and the Gills fans replied with " you only sing when youre winning". Unfortunately, this was very true on Saturday. It could have been any number of reasons, but the fact was, we were quiet on Saturday compared to other games this season.

As a side note, it was not fun sitting with the home fans trying to remain anonymous. Wont be dont it again in a hurry, if I can help it.

The Who, Wembley Stadium, Saturday

Pre book your parking at Stratford International Car Park (its a 5 minute walk from the stratford train station):

https://stratfordintl.co.uk/parking

Then you only need to get the Jubille line from Stratford straight to Wembley. Coming home is a doddle as its straight down the A12.

Sorry, but unless ME is earning £300m per year, your maths is wrong.

You have used an example of someone spending 2-4% of their ANNUAL earnings and then applied it to ME's total worth. Therefore your example means that ME should have invested £15-30m in total to his hobby, not per annum.

In any case, the bottom line is that this is ME's personal wealth and if he chooses not to invest in the club, that is entirely his choice, whether we as fans of the club like it or not.

How long would you expect the new Manager to get?

You said that it was not the end of the world to get relegated. Getting relegated does not guarantee that you will win considerably more than you lose.

Therefore, no club, or any right minded fan, should look at relegation as an option. Progression should mean that you only look one way, up.

Blackburn fans are only enjoying football in league 1 if its on the back of an actual promotion. See if they are happy come the end of the season if it has ended with another year in league 1.

I am an Ipswich Season ticket holder and also go to The Valley several times a season and Charlton fans hate being in League 1.

I'd much rather see Fulham, Boro, Villa, Norwich etc at Portman Road than Oxford, Walsall, Peterborough and Blackpool, whether we are fighting for Promotion, fighting against relegation or sitting somewhere in the middle.

Why would anyone aspire to life in a lower league?

Line Closures around Loftus Road
at 12:52 4 Sep 2017

Hi,
Going to QPR this Saturday and looking on the TFL website it appears that most of the lines and stations around the ground are closed. From what I can see White City Station is the only station anywhere near the ground that is open.

Am I correct in this and if so, does anyone have any alternative routes (buses etc) that they recommend.

Cheers.
