Alan Brazil seems to have wound up some budgies
at 13:35 23 May 2019

ho ho.
Typical radio host saying all sorts to keep the show going.

So , ill bite , to me your history is too far back , footy has changed so much ( unfortunately I will add ) and we cant look back and compare. Sorry boys .

Are we better atm ? Yes of course .
Are we bigger atm ? Well depend on what you call bigger but turnover and attendances says yes we are.

To me a bigger club means more supporters so Newcastle are still way bigger than most of the PL because of the numbers of fans that turn up.

If you change bigger to more successful then I would argue that you are , obviously due to the pots you have won over ours.

On another note Brazil looks like a heart attack waiting to happen !!!!

Tough season ahead for Norwich
at 13:13 2 May 2019

Indeed it will be , and I for one already understand that the best thing about next year was probably enjoying this year.
With the way the finances are set up in football I would prefer to win this league , win a pot and a sensible amount of money and stay in the league we are in .
I used to be sure that the premiership money model would fail, the money would dry up and all would fall apart. But I was wrong and if a big backer at Chelski pulls out another will now step in as opposed to the club self imploding .

As it stands our biggest asset going up is our ability to pick up good players, and not big players with the increased income.
I would always prefer clever buying , Buendia, over stupid buying with a fat wallet like we did with players like Naismith. The latter is just poor management and as Webber said earlier in the year we " won the lottery but pi***d it up the wall"
We will need to shop smart , brace ourselves for the onslaught against the big clubs and fingers crossed be better than 3 others . If not we start again but not with huge debit that poor buying left us with.

I see the Lambert haters are out again

Odd, as he was the opposite for us.

He had Holt, Wessi and co banging them in at the other end so just seemed to be happy with that.

I’m still saying it’s between you and Reading for 4th place.

Ok. I expect to get grief but I’ll give it a fair reflection on how I thought it went.

My nerves disappear after the first goal. I thought this is as easy as some said it would be but fair plays after 10 mins youcalmed us down it was pretty even. First half I thought we edged it in possession.
I expected Farke to gee them up a bit and I’d see a difference but as other son here said you cam at us and bossed of for some time until Pukki score .
The thing was even when you had possession I didn’t feel overly worried as you didn’t seem to fashion much out of it .
Maybe that is the problem for you this year ? Plenty of possession but little to trouble the keeper ?
Little Bundi and Arrons you seemed to struggle to deal with such was their speed when they got hold of the ball.

The incident.
I’m glad Lambert didn’t get booed to start with.
Nolan cleaned out out Arrons big time, that’s pretty agreeable and from there on I’m unsure who did what . Our guy got sent off so he must have done his part but Lambert did too much . I know we all like our manager to have passion but I would also want him to be on the touch line for the game and to say he would do the same again would wind me up. u need your manager on the pitch helping to get the win.

So I would sum you up by saying a typical derby game, form kinda goes out the window, gets a bit heated but in the end our better players made the difference. How that leaves you for the rest of the season I don’t know, you kinda need to finish off the possession if that makes sense ?

Fair plays to your fans, did well all game and never gave up .

I’ll admit to not watching all of your games but take the stupid penalty calls away the other week and that would have been 3 points and you played pretty well from what I watched.
What I find odd is you seem to have good then very poor performances ????

way too early to call it for either of us, so many points still up for grabs. West Brom will go up and I think it’s between you and Reading maybe.

A lot more fun that the Prem.
Once you get over the disappointment of relegation you start to enjoy it again. Its still 90 mins of footy but with more chance of winning. That why im anti prem, you pay 70% more to watch your team get thumped 80% of the time.

Interesting thoughts on PL resting some players but for me playing them and getting a result would have been a better position for the entire team come Sunday.

One thing he could do for us is change things if not going right, that snot what he is doing for you. Either he has less options on your bench or it was as we all thought in that Ian Culverhouse was the brains.

I come in peace !
I read lots of worries about the game on Sunday on your forum. I don't see it like that. We all know these local games throws form out of the window so lets see what happens.
I always like to know opposition fans thoughts before a home game , Ipswich no different.
Im going for a draw and hope Lambert gets a sensible response from the home crowd. I think he will with just some idiots forgetting what he did for us.
We are looking pretty strong in depth now , earlier in the season I could see us falling away but less so now. I still have you down as surviving and that will only change if you are still the same gap with 10 games to go. Its still achievable but I can see Reading kicking on for some reason. Its going to be between you and them says my crystal ball.
Us , I think play-offs as if truth I don't like the prem with all the rubbish that comes with it.

Norwich look like a proper team
at 20:39 2 Feb 2019

Honestly the best part of our season is the kids doing well. All this money crap with players coming in, it nigh on crippled us . It’s great. To do it with young players coming through. Interestingly we bought in another 3 the other day and only one possible first team player .

Obviously I want us to do better than yourselfs but it saddens me as a footy fan to watch a manager come in a totally screw it up for the fans as Hurst looks to have done.

PL appears slow to react in games
at 19:02 26 Jan 2019

Well, yes to a point and yes one thing PL would do was change things quick if not right , even if that was 5 minutes after half time.

I feel Lambert was successful because he had a couple of players at the right time in their career to lead the charge so to speak . Right time, right players, he now has too many clubs since to prove his worth and there is always a reason it’s not gone to his plan.
It’s not sour grapes either as I thank him for what he did for us.

As Lambert has made the team worse why trust him with signings?
at 17:35 9 Dec 2018

I haven’t seen any of your games but I’ve seen a lot of PL,s.
He is ( or maybe was ) very good at getting 100% out of players. player buying wansnt his strongest point.

Admire PLs words and optimism
at 17:30 9 Dec 2018

Seriously, why the hell wont you ?
Yes you are 8 points adrift but yes if it was 5 or so games to go then that’s different . What is there left, 20 odd ?

As some on here say all it takes is a couple of wins and the ball rolling towards safety . So far to go it’s way too early to call anything regardless of what has happened .

Norwich not out of the financial woe yet - £10m tax bill on the way
at 20:34 24 Oct 2018

So why stop at a prem 2 ?

Why not just spread the money all the way down ?
I guess the root problem is actually us. Who on here buys sky sports ? I don’t as I bloody refuse to.
I’ve said it before and will again. The prem is rubbish to play in and that’s not a dig at you lot. Wages go though the roof as do ticket prices .

Nothing wrong with this league , just the money should be spread about more.

at 13:25 24 Oct 2018

Right , first off I am a Budgie so lets get that out of the way.

The problem with our financial results is a problem for footy in general , not just us. Yes we have managed our way around it by selling but my point is it is a shame that any club has to do that.
Put yourself in the position of a small club that has been well managed and found some good lads and worked their way up the leagues only to have sell just to stay afloat. Not profit but to stay afloat.
And that's my problem with football nowadays. You either have stupid reach owners At best clubs like us , and i'll include clubs that can have 20 plus thousand in the gates will not be able to self fund with out selling their best players .
Im not a fan of the prem and would happily stay in this league just with better money for all around.
