Not convinced by this. The fact is we are not one of the favourites to finish in the top 2 now, and there is certaintly an argument that we are not even looking good for top 4. Derby are on a run and they are looking more and more likely a team to fear. After next Saturday we could be third, or we could be fifth. This is a testing time for both players and management, and I honestly don't see the owners accepting anything less than promotion. This suddenly isn't fun anymore. |

Think on current form and the way others are playing, we will be lucky to even make the play-offs. Yes, the overall style has been so much better than previous years, but it only covers up the fact we can't kill teams off and defensively we are shocking. No doubt todays loss will be down to the fog, the ref, or some other silly excuse. Will the owners be happy with all this? |

We just can't kill teams off at home can we. First 20 minutes or so we looked really positive and a threat, but then it all goes downhill. We didn't deserve to win tonight, and they certainly deserved a draw. Probably the worst home performance of the season. Is this squad really good enough to get promotion? I think we need 2 maybe 3 players in January to get us even close. |

Not saying Penney is world class, but he is not better/worse than Thompson as times. Totally agree with Blocker. Going out on loan was a good idea, but going to a club that has so many of the same players he was already playing with, seems an odd thing to do. I imagine Simpson has learnt more about himself during his time at Swindon than Dobs has at Colchester. |
