Fairly certain that was the North Stand.
Loads of local kids would pile in after the gates opened, to stand and watch the last moments of a game! |

I was also a police officer in the mid 70s , usually working in the North Stand
My recollection is that in the first half of the 70s, before I joined up , I would be standing with Town fans on the left side of the North and Away fans would be separated by a thin line of officers. It wasn't 'half and half', just separated according to how many Away fans there were.
After that, the cage for officers was brought in, as was in use when I joined. Didn't stop coins being thrown as I recall - or being spat at! |

Am happy to subscribe for the EADT, it's a business after all ,so why should we expect it to be free?
A month or so ago you could 6 months online digital version of the daily paper for £6- cheaper than a pint!
I think I pay about 30 odd quid annually. |

Woolfenden has been a valuable assett to the squad and I shall be sorry to see him leave, I understand why he wants to go
As an aside, and for the information of anybody who feels the need to attack him personally, i know for a fact that off the pitch he has acted in a very kind way to some members of the Blues Foundation. In one particular instance, he went out of his way to give 2 children a wonderful life experience.
I really hope Chappers isn't going too. |

That's such a shame about the penalty timing.
It would be nice if something could be done for the next home game - his family/ friends had printed little fliers and were passing them around the fanzone before the game. RIP Minterman |

I hated the milk but was forced to drink, no matter how curdled it was!
My mum put some nesquick powder in a little envelope and told me to sneak it in to the milk and stir it in with the straw when the teacher wasn't looking.
To this day I have never drunk milk since! |

Oh wow - I remember someone talking about Mickfield Mary and pointing her house out to me in the 1970's when i was a young teenager!
I've never heard her name mentioned since but was telling my husband about the legendary lady ,only last week!! |
