| News Comment | Blues and Canaries in Pre-Season Friendly Talks at 15:23:16
Don't like this. Reducing a game that produces one of the most intense and heated atmospheres for both supporters to a friendly? Only way it won't be a disappointment is if it is bigged up and it actually gets a near full stadium etc. but really its these seasons without this fixture that build up anticipation and desire for the next time we can meet and we can't pick and choose when we want to play them. |

Sounds very good. Very good for Newcastle in their relegation season where many fans were very disappointed he left. Could be one of the best in this league if he plays that well again and after this poor season we should be able to get him cheap should we buy him at the end of the season |
| News Comment | Managers Agree Town the Best Side on the Day at 20:08:56
Great game today, great to hear us outsing the rest of the stadium all game, even when a goal down. Priskin's goal obviously meant a lot to him from his celebration, hopefully he can push on. Walters played well (unfortunately), as did Stead, and the team in genereal, however i agree that we maybe need another right back as Peters did get beaten a couple of times too many, both in the air and physically. But fantastic result and great support, couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. |
| News Comment | Town Win Family Football Gong at 22:54:56
Oh god, I can't think of any supporter other than maybe middle class mums of small children who would be happy about winning this. It hardly promotes an image of passionate town fans when we win awards for being a club where you can enjoy a pleasant day out with the family at portman road. However saying this, it's ultimately down to supporters at the games to determine whether we become this 'nice', 'pleasant' club or if we become a set of fans renowned for their passion and love of Ipswich town. |

Hopefully we will be able to recall him if we get injuries etc. I agree Delaney is playing well at the moment but we may need a centre back who can actually co-ordinate his left foot and should keane decide for some reason he needs to start 4 CBs in the defence again I would much rather have him at LB/RB than pim |
| News Comment | Priskin Won\'t Face Town at 17:19:24
Frustrating that we are sending players that could potentially play very well on loan to teams that could end up as rivals for us, position wise. Let's hope not though... |

Is there any specific reason we have a fair number of Swedish and other Scandinavian fans? Or is it mostly Englishmen living abroad? |
| News Comment | Clegg: Money Still There for Signings at 19:33:43
There is a difference between being optimistic and being blind. People have been saying from the first game of the season that there are positive signs but we've had so many 'positive signs' that surely we should have a win by now. I do believe that this is a deeply disappointing start and i am upset that without a win in the next 2 or 3 games, the play-offs are likely to be too far away. Unfortunately its not as if we can sack Keane anytime soon because, in my view, he bought in too many players and got rid of too many. The team chemistry is low because there are so few players in the starting line up who were regulars last season. This was proved last year when he won his first two games with magiltons squad. If this is the case then it cant be too much longer before we get the win but if this isnt the case then unfortunately it proves Keane cannot win with a squad which is actually one of the strongest in the league. |

I'm not saying whether or not he should be given 5 year contract. its too early to tell. but should we be bottom of the league in march, or we get relegated, then we obviously have to ask ourselves whether he is the man for the job. there's no point waiting, season after season of mediocrity, on the chance that after 4 or 5 he may come good, because if they didn't, then we have wasted another 5 years. |
| News Comment | Big Crowd for Town-Newcastle Clash at 19:57:09
i also agree that we desperately need our crowd noise levels rising, as well as our attendances. i think the twelfth man is underestimated greatly. how are we going to show that we really want IT if we are as quiet and empty as usual? its time to massively get behind the team that we want to see in the premier league as quick as possible and pay tribute to Sir Bobby by bringing his zombies back to life this season. |
| News Comment | The Long Game at 19:43:08
i have to say i agree with jayitfc in that how can we decide to offer a 5 year contract to someone who has had such a poor start. i do agree he should have time but if its too early for fans to decide that this is not the job for roy keane, then surely its too early to decide that he should be given 5 years. i know that this might be a rash thing to say but with the new owner and co, are they really going to want to add 5 more years onto this record spell in the championship for us? |
| News Comment | Brian Murphy Has Town Medical at 19:06:53
i dont understand this. supple signs a 1 year deal in order to try and push wright out of number 1 spot (his words). why would keane then send him on loan when he only has a 1 year contract? therefore why bother getting a goalkeeper who will not get a game all season unless by somehow both wright and supple getting injured. i dont see the logic in this signing but hopefully i'm missing something from keano's big plan |
