Morsy vs. Matuswia
at 17:15 13 Sep 2025

Pretty much agree with all that.

I just think, like you, like for like comparisons are very valid as on the evidence so far he’s not playing the Morsy role and the team also appears to have set up a bit differently this year too to play more counter attack.

As I said though, thought it was very obvious in first half yday we missed Sam’s ability to take the ball off the GK and turn. Can’t think of too many times in 23/24 when we so clearly struggled to beat a press like that.

Morsy vs. Matuswia
at 13:07 13 Sep 2025

Great game last night, managed to get there in person and really enjoyed it.

Matusiwa was exceptional, really growing into the player we all hoped. The interception for Jack Clarke's goal high up the pitch was almost vintage Kante!

What I would say is, I think comparisons between him and Morsy (as I saw on here last night) are folly in my view. It is clear he has an entirely different role in the team to Sam. And it's noticeable that it's generally Cajuste who now has the role of showing for the GK between the split centre backs.

And in the first half particularly I did think we missed Morsy taking that first pass from the Keeper and driving us up the pitch a bit.

Both are exceptional players at this level but not sure other than playing in CM for ITFC I see much else in terms of similarity of the role they perform for the team (so far).

Just my opinion though.

Quite right.

They should stop in the first safe country they get to.

I.e. Italy and Greece should be expected to house everything single refugee that comes into Europe from the south. Seems fair to me.

"So while I am far from happy with manager, formation, tactics or signings , I am prepared to watch this game for clear signs of improvement£

Phew, that's a weight off my mind. And Ashton's too I'm sure.

Think he was hoping for Nesta, Costacurta and Baresi.

Can see why he’d be underwhelmed.

at 07:59 9 Sep 2025

Hi All - unexpectedly around for the game on Friday so am now scrambling for a ticket.

Only restricted view seats at back of Cobbold and Pioneer available.

Anybody got any experience of these? Assume it's fine just got to strain neck a bit?!

Thanks in advance!

This is pretty much my sentiment exactly.

My post was rather in relation to the OP's previous comments on tax avoidance.

I don't disagree with any of that.

I just would have thought that given your earlier comments on tax avoidance you may have taken a slightly dimmer view of AR.

Tice is a piece of sh1t as is his missus. Fortunately, as this episode has shown, most of our MPs are able to hold themselves to a much higher standard than him or the shower of cnts in his party.

Without wishing to be provocative, on another thread you told me you were outraged about tax avoidance.

Why is it you see no issue here out of curiosity?

FWIW - on the wider issue, I think she was a wonderful example of somebody whose succeeded when odds were stacked against her. Never the less, if you break the ministerial code, your personal circumstances should be irrelevant.

I don’t think there’s anything to acknowledge personally.

Listen to any successful people and they all sound like that. Bezos, Musk, Jamie Dimon, Dalio etc.

Maybe what people don’t like is that he’s so driven and dedicated which makes them feel inadequate because they themselves aren’t where they want to be in their own lives?

End of the day, he’s given me, my mates and my family some of the best days of my life. He can say and do what the f he wants as far as I’m concerned.

Absolutely ridiculous when you consider where we were when he took over.

Politics of envy maybe at play? Successful guy, quite sure of himself and not afraid to show it.

That’s the only reason I can think of for why he gets so much stick on here.

Bring back Clegg…

Just watched.

I absolutely love these two blokes. We are very very lucky to have them.

And anybody that doesn’t see that can do one as far as I’m concerned.

Are MA, KMc and Owners still aligned?
at 14:12 2 Sep 2025

As I posted yesterday, I doubt the minutia of the English football transfer window and ITFC squad turnover even comes close to registering on our owners radar.

They are long term investors with 10-12 year time horizons, as are Brightpath.

And, unlike most on here, wont be bed wetting after game four of the championship season. Or even at the end of the season if we don't go up.

If that's the case then what a thoroughly laughable/depressing state of affairs.

Probably also points to the fact that we don't have particularly knowledgeable fan base either.
