Lambert Facing Dressing Room Unrest - Report
at 14:54:51

I want the best for my club and on Saturday came to the decision that unfortunately Mr Lambert is not the man for the club in the same way I feel Marcus Evans is not a footballing man and only a business behemoth but I think some supporters should desist from abusing the man with vitriol. I am frustrated as much as the next supporter ( I came up thru the Sir Bobby golden period ) but we are renown as a decent club with good principles so let's avoid hounding Paul Lambert out of the club. I remember 10 years ago Evans sacking Roy Keane due to a breakdown in his relationship with the club and probably things will go their natural way and he will leave but let's cut out the hate.....

Has been a good player for us in these 6 years and one I would certainly still keep...I can think of lesser players I would let go. We have never got the best out of him I feel but is still capable of offering some quality

We need to get evans involved in a LIVE debate with supporters and not a manufactured one where he will explain openly his plans and how to arrest this 14 year slide from protagonist club to also rans in the 1st division and not read from a pre-taped script where he sounds like he is reading a company balance sheet.
Sheepshanks had his faults but he was a business man and a fan to the core.

Evans Reiterates Commitment to Town
Thursday, 16th Dec 2010
Town owner and chairman Marcus Evans has reiterated his commitment to the club, almost three years since he took over at Portman Road. Shareholders voted overwhelmingly in favour of Evans’s takeover at an EGM on December 17th 2007.

In a statement, Evans says his intentions with Town are unchanged despite the lack of return on his investment so far: “I remain as committed to Ipswich Town now as I did when I first became involved with the club three years ago and the target remains the same – to take ITFC back to where it belongs – the Premier League.”

The reclusive businessman says he never thought of his involvement with the Blues as a short-term thing: “I have always looked long term as a businessman and that’s certainly the case at Ipswich Town as well.”

Evans doesn’t specifically mention manager Roy Keane or speculation over his position, but says the current situation needs to be reversed sooner rather than later: “We all know that this needs to turn around quickly and we need to see a return to our early campaign form if we are to end the season, which is not yet halfway through, in a position to which everyone aspires.”

Blackpool 1-4 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:33:21

Very please for Town...and Kenlock by all accounts had a very good game so good for him.
Let's keep the momentum going and learn from last season not to drop our guard and go looking for 3 points every time, unlike at MK Dons last week.Keep it up !

Town Look to Return to Winning Ways at Blackpool

Nobbysnuts...Yes indeed a good Argentinian Cabernet-Sauvignon last night and some excellent Italian Nebbiolo this last week but more to the point Kenlock had initially played some good games but McCarthy preferred Knudsen, who was awful but a McCarthyite and had some bad luck. I think we have a duty to support all our players and especially our own home grown and I really think given a chance AND BACKING from our supporters, he could stake a claim and make the position his own..

Lambert: No Town Offer on Table For Garbutt
at 10:15:02

blues1..point taken but if Town were aware that he wasn't going to get the golden move to a Championship club and could be bought for a lot less money. than he probably originally was holding out for, I think we should have put in a decent bid for him and I imagine he would have preferred us to Blackpool, with all respect to them.Whilst not a Messi, he was a cut above some of the Town players around him and he came from a great schooling i.e Everton, even if he didn't play much..

Judge: A Good Away Point
at 13:34:59

Sorry...but I think we should be looking to beat teams like the Dons, and they were bottom of the table too. If we want promotion then it's a no-brainer.We have to be shooting high and no accepting mediocrity. Judge by all accounts was poor..once again...and his bad pass created the foul situation on Downes. Not good enough....

Second Palace Downes Bid £1.6m

Insulting offer but we are considered a second rate club in steep decline and with a president who is uncomfortable in this sector. You get what you sew and evans will not invest..he is a business man and ITFC is just a peripheral branch of his business empire. He is the wrong person in the job..
