on current form SS is no loss whatsoever, he's not producing on the pitch, hasn't for some time. |

on current form i find it hard to argue a case for Smodzics starting for club or country. He just doesn't add enough to the final third, which is also true for other players in the Town line up. |
 | Forum Reply | Vienna and Bratislava; how many days? at 21:32 6 Sep 2025
I have been to Vienna twice and I think 2-3 days is sufficient, it isn't a particularly large city, classical music and architecture are of course an inherent part of the city's culture. A nice city to walk around, queues typical for the more famous cafes. Bratislava I have never been to so can't comment. |

Sorry to contradict you but I absolutely think KM is a goner if we don't win any of our next 6, or even just 1 of our next 6. His losing streak is just too long. |

good post and i take all of your points onboard. Davis plays all the time, regardless of form, I've read a lot of other posters on here pointing this out. but KM persists. I generally think it has reached the stage now that opposition teams are more than happy to let us dominate possession, knowing that we don't have the ability to hurt them in the final third of the pitch. I'm not on here to be negative, having an alternative point of view isn't being negative, although a lot of people on here seem to think it is. |

It's a matter of time for me, same tactics week in, week out. Same outcomes week in, week out. If the manager is unwilling to change his approach, and he clearly is unwilling, same as Amorim at Utd, then the only way to impart change is to hire a new manager. A part of me thinks, however unlikely, that both Amorim & KM are unwilling to change their approach as to do so is to admit error. By not changing the approach, and results continuing to be poor, dismissal seems more likely, with the added bonus of a pay off. [Post edited 30 Aug 18:17]

well said, sum it up perfectly. Although i'd still like to see Rohl here, at least he can motivate a group of players. |

not wanting to sound sarcastic but shouldn't all of this be obvious to KM on the training ground? Especially in relation to Johnson, Clarke, Greaves and Taylor. Why does he do nothing about it? |

 | Forum Reply | As much as i like McKenna and still have confidence in him at 18:01 23 Aug 2025
I agree but I cannot see how Ashton can be exonerated from all of this. He is equally culpable for what is happening, recruitment across the board in terms of players, coaches etc has been totally inept and we are now paying the price for it. What bugs me most is so much money has been spent to watch what we see on the football pitch. How can it be defended? |
 | Forum Reply | As much as i like McKenna and still have confidence in him at 17:49 23 Aug 2025
he didn't leave, the board didn't want him to leave, the fans didn't want him to leave. all of this is slowly changing, results can't be ignored forever, KM has it within his own power to change his approach to the game but he doesn't. That's on him and he will in time have to accept the consequences of that. I am convinced that Ashton does not want to sack him under any circumstances. I am now convinced that not only do we need a new manager but also a new CEO - the club has lost direction. It's up to the owners to act. |

it won't be any different then either, there won't be any change whatsoever in the approach to formation, tactics, selection etc. Nothing will change. |
 | Forum Thread | We all know... at 16:53 23 Aug 2025
this can't go on, but I fear Ashton is so enamored with McKenna that he simply won't want to sack him. So we will have to continue to watch this really pitiful decline go on. |
