Frank to Spurs confirmed - how are we feeling?
at 17:30 10 Jun 2025

If KMc does go to Brentford there must be a chance he'd like to take O' Shea and Omari with him? Both would follow him i reckon.

What has actually gone wrong since Xmas?
at 19:22 20 May 2025

The simply inability to defend well, or at all in some instances, coupled with a poor midfield meant the inevitable happened. Always on the defensive, well more or less, little possession, lack of confidence, poor signings, poor substitutions, sometimes none at all. Inexperienced management unable to rectify the situation or identify the overwhelming need to steady the defense.

I hope McKenna moves on
at 16:31 18 May 2025

because we desperately need a new approach, this just can't be allowed to go on and on. Yes we had great times but everyone knows we have no spine, no backbone. We're a soft touch, and I'm convinced we will be as long as KM stays.

I know this won't be a popular opinion but it needs to be said.

I hope he moves on of his own accord, we need a fresh approach.

McKenna linked with Spurs

I'd be amazed if this happened, I don't see McKenna ball being a whole lot different to Postecoglou ball.

How McKenna gets a free pass in all of this is quite something. It really is.

They seem to revel in their incompetence, it's something they're proud of. If there's one thing I will always associate with the Trump administration it's abject incompetence. It's no different to the Scaramucci waffle during his first term.

Sorry to say it.....we need better than McKenna

That's my worry too, Danny Rohl for me. KM needs to take a year out or something, defensively he just doesn't have it.

Is mckenna out of his depth in the Premier league
at 21:57 26 Feb 2025

If he showed any willingness to be tactically adaptable I'd say something but it's like groundhog day, just the same mistakes over and over again. How is this a demonstration of learning as others say KM is doing? I genuinely don't get this argument.

I would like to see someone else given a go at Manager level, KM has shown zero aptitude to learn on the job this season.

we've been doing it all season long and our wonder coach hasn't been able to do a thing about it.

I wonder what KM will say afterwards, 'take the positives and move on'?.

The fact that we cannot defend, regardless of what league we are in, makes automatic promotion a bit fanciful.

What can KM do now?

The team looks lost, unbalanced and headed in one direction only.

What if anything can KM do to stop the rot?

Depression Mind Shift Help
at 12:41 28 Oct 2024

Hi

I wanted echo comments made by others as to how incredibly helpful your original post is. You have a great way of expressing yourself and relating your experiences. I am very grateful to you for writing that post.

I have similar experiences to yours. I also see a therapist as I needed to talk quite badly. One thing i took from a recent discussion with her was how important is is to look at ourselves with compassion, and look at others with compassion. We are in so many ways our own worst enemies at times.

Meditation is one way to live more in the 'here and now', it helps to stop the mind wandering and focusing on things that we can't control. Remember we can't control everything and accepting that and making it the cornerstone of your mindset can help restore balance and perhaps energy. You have energy and spark, otherwise you wouldn't have written the OP.

Allow yourself time to feel compassion for self, mediate on this point, all that we cannot control, the past for example, is unproductive use of energy.

The answers to all of our problems are within, never without. I have joined a men's mental help group that meets via zoom, it has shown me that I am not alone, that feeling down at times is perfectly normal and not at all a reason to be self critical.

Mediate daily, even if for only 10mins, there are some listen along sessions online that I use. I always feel more grounded afterwards.

Wishing you the best, and thank you again for your post. You have helped someone today, probably many.

Panic

our default defensive mindset.

It always has been as long as I can remember, but it's particularly bad at the moment.

Plus the insistence on tippy tappy out from the back which has cost us so many goals, only adds to the problem. One mistake leads to another, and from there it seems to be a domino effect.

Dreadful defending.

Dreadful defending is the only way we know how, it has never been anything else, at least not consistently, under McKenna. His approach is to outscore the opposition and hope for the best.
