The advantages of losing to Wimbledon

EFL Cup Third round this week: Southampton play away to Everton midweek.
EFL Cup Third round next week: Villa play away to Wycombe midweek.
EFL Cup Fourth round: Leicester, who are likely to get through the third round against Walsall, would be playing midweek.
EFL Cup Fifth round: A good chance that Newcastle will be through to this round (they face Wimbledon in third round).

In all cases, we will have a full week to prepare whereas our opponent will have a midweek game. Such advantages may make all the difference in our battle to stay up.

1972 Andes Plane Crash

I hope the TWTD community will forgive a shameless plug. There is a three-part documentary on the 1972 Andes Plane Crash that will air Tue, Wed, Thu this week at 10pm on channel 5. I was consultant expert for this (though don't appear), and the production was guided by my book on the subject 'To Play the Game' ( https://johnguiver.org/books ). The story is much in the news this week because of the remarkable film 'The Snow Society' which recently appeared on NetFlix.
