McKenna: A Special Day
at 22:14:27

The man is a magician. I really think he's one of the best managers outside of the premier league at the moment. I don't think the championship will be a struggle (it won't be a walk in the park either) but the way McKenna has these guys playing is immense and is top 10 material at the least in the championship (yes we will need additions of course but the core players are brilliant). I think you have to say the run he's put together is better than Sheffields 23 unbeaten run (they won 15 games in those 23), we've had 14 wins in 18 unbeaten and I think the way we've been playing nobody could stop us except ourselves.

Ashton: New Pitch is On Track
at 20:02:38

If I was the club, couldn't you sell like a m2 of grass to fans/public. Could generate money back into club or donate to charity which would look like an amazing gesture.

I'd imagine the west and east stands probably wouldn't be rebuilt but new roofs etc to be transparent sections to let light onto the pitch and completely renovated inside concourse/turnstiles. That's on the assumption the main structure is of good sound

Bonne: She's My Little Lucky Charm
at 20:13:48

If there's to be one signing made in January only it has to be to tie Macauley up on a permanent deal. The bloke is fantastic on and off the pitch. I know Morsey looks to be the captain going forward but I think Bonne would also make a fantastic captain

Chambers: I Was Told I Wouldn’t Be Leaving and Then I Would Be
at 13:42:06

People are right to feel how he was as player technically but one thing no one can criticise the bloke for was his commitment to this club. I think he was genuinely really proud to be captain of our football club and engaged with fans. He was also there to support the youngsters coming through with Downes admitting he had mental struggles that chambers helped him with. For me I hope he returns to the club one day as a coach and does his badges as it's been a long time since someone has had a lot of passion for our club, most likely the Royle/Burley era

Town: Evans Not Actively Looking to Sell
at 20:17:24

Evans won't come out and say he's selling as it will weaken any negotiations he has. He will want to come out of this the best way possible therefore he won't want to just seem like a push over. It will all be quiet from both parties until it's literally signed on the dotted lines....hopefully sooner rather than later

Town Takeover Close
at 17:22:37

I'm a bit baffled by a lot of the negativity around this. Would we want to just carry on under Lambert and Evans and drift off into the unthinkable depths of league 2 or try something to get us out of the mess that our club is currently in. I for one am excited to see what the future holds for this club whether up or down because the future under Evans is going only one way unfortunately

Lambert: Morally I Think Us Playing Football is Wrong
at 13:46:20

From a non football playing perspective regarding what's happening on the pitch at the moment, Paul Lambert has a serious point, how can football continue when we are in a serious pandemic with numbers at high levels like last March/April/May when it was all postponed. Are footballers key workers? Cause I'm struggling to see the case where they are in a position to let them play. I get darts and snooker say because it's a single person sport but anything regarding being part of a team and have physical interaction with someone else surely shouldn't be taking place at the moment

Chambers: Norwich "Nowhere Near" Play-Off Season Level
at 19:41:50

He's right and the club is in a poor state of affairs that the board are reluctant to tell them also. They have no choice but to sell there best players this summer (I.e Maddison, Kline, Zimmerman) because they can't afford the wage bill at the club because its crucifying them and even more so next year without there parachute payments. They're still paying most of Naismiths 65k a week even though he's at Hearts lol.

Regarding Chambers he's a fantastic leader and looks a lot better now he's back at CB and not the out of position place he's been played reguarly

Norwich City 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 15:25:25

I honestly thought this was the time for us. First half excellent and kept Norwich fairly quiet. Thought Knudsen should have hit the target with the early effort with his head. Only criticism was I thought some of waghorns delivery's were pretty poor (more than made up for it with chambers goal though). Second Half, well it just all collapsed and we seemed a different group of people from the first 45. The substitutions are extremely questionable too, Mcgoldrick instead of Celina??

Regarding McCarthy, I'll be thankful for stabilising the club but the club needs a different direction now as it's gone a bit stale of no sign of going forward and no sign of going backwards. With his outburst today I think the change needs to happen immediately and not the end of the season as the atmosphere at PR is going to be more toxic then it ever has and it's not what the club needs. At least if the change happens now we can get a manager in ready to assess what he needs for next season with funds backing him as that's the only way you can get out now if this league (Take note Wolves for example)

McCarthy Happy With a Point
at 22:12:39

blue 75

Yes joe royle may have had to play the kids but still they were good kids with a few making international appearances. With our current crop of kids who honestly looks like they have the potential to go on to big things like R Wright, Dyer, Bent and Ambrose. The only one we've honestly had since royle left was Rhodes and Keane screwed us over with that one. Out of our current crop the only one looks to be Dozzell with possibilities of kenlock and emmanual but we'll see about that. So you can't really moan at Mccarthy for not playing the kids when we haven't really got the potential there and that lies with the owner Mr Evans for not investing into our Academy

Yes I agree royle was in a similar position but don't forget he may have not spent money but we had a fantastic academy product then. We had likes of Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose, Owen Garvan, Ian Westlake and Matt Richards coming through. Not all might have been stellar players but they were week in week out first teamers. Only 2 we have had in last few years since mccarthy been here is kenlock, emmanual, Bishop and hyam and let's be honest with that there not 1st team players week in week out

Leeds United 2-1 Town - Match Report
at 22:44:13

Being realistic I think that the play offs could possibly out of our reach tbh with the games we have left we are struggling against weak opponents (not just a one off game either)

Since turn of year the Rotherham, Brighton, Wigan and Leeds games have all been dropped points (1 out of 12 there) just ain't promotion form. We're not ready to go up as it would be an embarrassment week in week out in prem.

Why did we not strengthen in jan is beyond me as MM already stated when JW was here that we needed him as we could not put all expectations on young teddy, which is exactly what he's done. We lost JW in beginning of dec, more than enough time to find back up.

I think aswell and I may get a lot of disagrees with this which I understand but although MM has done a fantastic job bringing us back from the bottom of barrel I feel this is as far as he can take us and maybe we need a young manager with talent who plays modern football to advance us. I mean look at top six Alex Neil, Karanka, Mark Warburton, Eddie Howe and Jokanovic.

Norwich City 2-0 Town - Match Report
at 16:53:40

Neither side deserved the win Tbh. They only troubled Bart once really the whole game. Both lucky goals, first was a deflected cross that fell to Johnson and 2nd well can you get any luckier. Sears had 2-3 good chances

I'm baffled by micks choices though. What has Parr got to do even a loanee Chaplow got ahead of him today. Varney on before woods???

I think 8th is where we could possibly be heading. Any news on Jonny Williams to sort of dross of a midfield out

I'd also like to see Stewart and henshall given a chance in that line up aswell. How can they be judged in a competitive match when they don't play as they seem to get praised by fellow fans who have seen them in the reserves

Rotherham 2-0 Town - Match Report
at 18:37:10

Well today has all but ended automatic spots. As for the playoffs well it's questionable if that is a possibility with micks defensive tactics. Last 3 games should have been points available in all of them (Brighton, Wigan and Rotherham) and 1 point out of 9 is not good enough as simple as. I don't understand why mick has this negativity of playing defensive sh*t hoofball football when we have a talented teddy bishop who hardly sees it when it's played over the top to the front too. Also why haven't we thrown the kitchen sink at these 3 teams with 3 strikers??

My team would be

Bart
Parr chambers Berra Mings
Skuse
Bishop S.Hunt
Mcgoldrick
Sears Murphy

Wing backs who like to push forward with 5 decent attacking options there
