Sorry I upset some souls with this post, my bad.
I should have added well done England and getting through and best of luck rest of the tournament.
1. It was absolutely frigging hilarious that shoot out.
Yep England men haven't done much better, but if you couldn't see how bad that shootout was well that is with you.
2. It was absolute dross.
Maybe football over 90mins and extra time making it 120 mins is too much for women.
They only play 3 sets in Tennis in majors. So maybe 35 minutes each half would help, a 70 minute game, with 10 mins for each half if extra time is needed.
Maybe that is worth considering to improve the women's game further.
3. Yes there are commentators asking for Female parity wages with men. I didn't make that up.
I really wish the England Woman's team all the best. Hope they bring the trophy home and show the men how it is done again.
I don't mind people having a pop at me, but if you can't post in jest on a football forum without upsetting some delicate flowers not sure what hope there is. |

I would have hoped that the Labour government would have prioritised bringing some form of Proportional Representation for General Elections rather than First Past the Post, but I guess that would hurt Labour chances significantly of ever getting a large majority again.
I suppose letting children vote will maybe increase the Labour vote share so I can see why they have prioritised this now before the next GE. |

Can't really have this going on, what would Elf and Safety make of it all.
Maybe my memory playing tricks but in the early days of Satellite TV, late 80s early 90s, wasn't there a channel with Dwarfs bouncing on trampolines doing the weather forecast or am I just imagining it? [Post edited 15 Jul 23:22]

Just for balance, I live in West Cornwall, we have not had a day over 24c this year so far and half the year now gone, and the last two so called heatwaves the South East has had have not materialised this far west, in fact most days have been cloudy with Cornish mizzle.
I do feel sorry for the folks zooming down the M5 to the beaches thinking they are going to get these end of the world heatwaves with a nice paddle in the sea and a 99.
Saying that still July and August to go, so may get a sniff of one of these things at some point for a day or two, then back to 15c and below temps for 360 days of the year. |

Birmingham away very tough, they are going to be full of confidence and will have the same momentum we had two years ago.
As for us, obviously won't have the same momentum so going to be a good game to see where we are at, get a result there and be a great start to the season at one of the sides who will be up there come May. |

Our defence was pretty awful last season, but without a doubt our biggest weakness was a midfield that was nowhere near Premier league quality. Delap will thrive in that Chelsea team.
Just hope during this transfer window we can get a much better midfield. |
