The chosen 12...
at 20:05 27 Feb 2020

With all due respect to the chosen 12, I think that it is impossible to have a legitimate ‘top dozen’ without including Ted Phillips. His goal-scoring prowess and his contribution to the club’s history both demand recognition. Only one player included from our only Town side to EVER be “The Champions of England”? Absurd.
I agree with those who have pointed out that Beattie’s statue is already a fitting tribute to our greatest ever player, and that’s the only possible reason ‘Sir Kevin’ finished so low down in this top 12 list. So I respectfully suggest that Beattie’s pillar recognition is redundant and that his pillar should be ceded to Terrifying Ted.

2-0 now. And still 11 v 10. Wycombe are in a false position and will fall away. Posh will have a false dawn before their inevitable sunset

Remember when Southampton lost 9-0?

And they threw away 3 points to Wolves on the weekend after giving up a 2-0 lead. Could have been even better. Hope they don’t do that again today!

The Neil / Sturgeon debate was brutal

He doesn’t know the difference between an interview and a rant, does he ? And he is obnoxiously belligerent and self satisfied.

I suspect Norwood will do his share of punching this season. Just hopes he keeps on the blindside of the refs

Ah, so Labour tried to stop the broadcast of Panorama last week
at 22:09 10 Jul 2019

If and when Panorama runs a similar probe into Conservative Party Islamophobia, then I MIGHT doubt that this is a hatchet job. Never any doubt that the Beeb is seriously infected with Corbyphobia.

We’ve won as many games in the last YEAR
at 05:16 20 Apr 2019

Before today, 2 losses in 10 and at least 6 out of 10 competitive performances. Relegated last week. Today meant nothing, other than a chance to field 5 academy grads and no loan players, which is what the fans, real and “forum” pretenders, have been clamouring for. The inept performance was disappointing but unsurprising. It has no relevance to next year’s mission.

RIP: Leeds-based Town fan.
at 08:36 15 Mar 2019

It is with sadness that I report the passing yesterday, after a short illness, of life-long Town supporter Brian Mulvey, aged just 67. Brian lived and worked in Leeds for many years and regularly attended Town matches all over the north of England. He met up with other members of the Northern Branch of the Ipswich Town Supporters Club at stations, grounds and of course pubs for most games north of Birmingham throughout Town’s long tenure in the Championship and back in the ‘glory days’ as well, and I am sure many on TWTD will have been familiar with his opinions and witicisms which he was never shy to share. RIP Brian.

Lambert? Well that’s interesting.
at 19:56 25 Oct 2018

I always liked Lambert. He was a pretty decent left winger and a good servant of the club. Very reliable substitute. Didn’t he come on for Osborne One-Nil in the Cup Final? Get ‘em playing like those Wembley Wonders ! Pretty good cricketer, too,I recall.
What ? Not that Lambert? Oh. Well., as long as he’s not a Scotsman. Such a cliche, that, ‘Scottish Manager’. Like French Chef, Swiss Goatherd, Italian Ice Cream Maker, Welsh Miner. That would just show a lack of imagination by our owner.
What’s that ? Oh really? Oh well, at least it isn’t some old Norwich manager. What’s that ? No, you’re kidding. Oh you’re not kidding. Oh my !

Nothing to do. One good reaction save and one good punched clearance. Othrise he could have sat in the fifth row.
