West Bromwich Albion 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 00:06:08

I wonder if the international break contributed to this poor performance - it interupts the flow and it usually comes when we need the team at their best. No excuses for one poor game but I wonder if the result would have been different with no break. Onwards and upwards.

McKenna: Conversations on Loan Players For the Next Few Weeks
at 01:45:35

Massimo Luongo is a definite one to offer a new contract to - but KM will already have some irons in the fire and Ashton will already be getting ready to do deals even before the transfer market opens - getting a settled team in place for the start of the championship is a priority.

Town Taylor Move Active as Whittaker Pilgrims Loan in Question
at 12:15:48

Could all this talk be a smoke screen for the players Ipswich are really looking at - we know that they keep things close to their chest - so why not drop a hint or two for the press to have a field day while they spend time getting the real deals done - Just a thought!!

McKenna: Disappointing Night
at 01:08:29

So we're the best team in the league according to some of the pundits - ok so it's on the C cup but Exeter the new boys to Div 1 - 7 goals / Bolton reborn 5 goals - so why are we struggling?? same system as Cook?? Why can't we change formations to allow strikers to play (but then where are they?) so many questions which don't have answers. We certainly need a striker - if it's so hard to get one why not bring back Boone - or why not field the backroom staff - there's enough of them to make a team. Answers on a postage stamp

Celina Completes Kasımpaşa Loan Move
at 12:52:50

Forget it - he's gone to Turkey and at the end of the day His club had a major say in it
- I'd like to see us bring back Boone who I think would do an amazing job this season - and who would also fit the system MK plays - yes we all want to see goals but Boone and Ladapo would do it for us. I know we all want the 20 goal striker but remember we have one out on loan to Portsmouth - he maybe didn't do it for us because of the system we play. We have JJ and Ladapo now and now that Boone has got over some of His personal stuff he'd be in a better place to fully focus on what we know he can do - score goals.

Pompey Eyeing Pigott
at 13:04:16

Piggott hasn't done it for town last season but it wouldn't surprise me that we have a different player this season - he knows this is his big opportunity - and with our coaching staff who knows what can happen - Jackson has (hopefully) turned it around and with our manager I think we'll see a different player this year.

Barnsley Striker Woodrow on Town's List of Potential Recruits
at 11:28:35

I really dislike this limbo time when the season ends and we wait for the transfer window to open. Speculation is rife and social media goes into overdrive. OK everyone has an opinion and every opinion is valid especially because we want the best for our club. But press, social media are plucking names out of the air and agents are pushing their players forward using these and other means of getting them noticed. Ipswich now have a backroom team who will have already earmarked who they would like to fill the gaps and KMK will have given his approved list to Ashton so I think we will have some surprises when the market opens. Lets forget about all this speculation, there's some good things happening behind the scenes.

McKenna: Jackson Injury Significant But I Can See Him Being Part of the Future Here
at 18:53:36

I think KJ is flourishing under the leadership and encouragement of McKenna - what a difference a manager can make to some players who just need to be shown the way - This is not just the case for KJ but the whole team as they know what the manager wants - feel the arm of encouragement around them - and they go and get the job done - SIMPLES!!

Jackson: I Feel Like a Footballer Again
at 09:35:07

it just shows what a good manager we have - working with the strengths each player has and hopefully we will see the benefits of this in the weeks and months to come. I wonder what the team would have looked like if Mckenna had taken over from Lambert rather than PC - onwards and upwards and perhaps Jackson will be like a new signing in these later stages of the season.

Cook: Soft Goals Are Hurting Us
at 22:30:02

Lots of good players - some who have chosen to come here because of Cook. We are starting to see the potential force they can be - but I said it last season - Cook is stuck with a preferred system of playing and seems he is either so stubborn his system is best or else he's incapable of changing it - and as some have already commented it seems the players are not playing his system either. Opposition teams can and will exploit it and it seems they are already doing so.

Former Blues Skipper Edwards Nets Decisive Spot-Kick For Bury

Thanks Pinstripe for your comments about man management - this is the one thing that concerns me about Cook although I don't doubt he's a good manager. But when you compare with Southgate after the shootout Sunday night - he became the father figure consoling his young England team - I wonder if the same would happen here???

Ipswich Town 0-0 AFC Wimbledon - Match Report
at 18:20:41

why keep playing a system that doesn't work with one up front? Put three up front and we may stand a chance of an own goal!! Seriously I'm beginning to doubt Cook simply because it seems he is stuck with his preferred system of playing and seems unable to change things even experiment. The same players who were doing the business at the beginning of the season haven't become that bad or mediocre over night so something not working - yes a clear-out needed and I'm questioning Cook as well!

Cook: Painful Nights Like These Hurt Me Deeply and I'm Sure They Hurt Our Supporters
at 22:31:32

It's obvious somethings not right - these players haven't become bad over night - some of them we were expecting to leave for premier clubs last year - there is something happening behind the scenes and I think it's PC - whatever he is doing be it tactics, training, team formation it ain't working. It's obvious that one up front doesn't work with the players we have yet he persists in the same formation. His system works just like Lambert - except Lambert at least got them winning!! I'd get rid of him now and get a seasoned manager in so we can start building for next season.

Northampton Town 3-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 21:19:54

Agreed Norwichbeater - Cook has taken us backwards - the team hasn't become that bad overnight - we were playing with at least some direction and passion under lambert - Like Lambert there is this refusal to change the way Cook likes to play with one up front - surely by now he knows we don't have anyone who can play that system - perhaps more concerning is the fact that non of the team seem to be having a good day - yes we have players who have off days or play badly - but not the whole team

Time to start asking questions - will bringing in a whole new team make any difference if the manager can only play one way - or the training methods are not up to what should be - what is happening behind the scenes - exciting we are getting a new management team in place but what about the management of the team itself - at this rate we'll be lucky to stay up next season never mind go up.

Sorry folks I'm not so sure about bringing in a completely new team - we have some good lads and we need to be asking why are they not playing like e know they can!!

Downes: We Should Be Winning Games Like This Easily, It's Not Good Enough
at 01:33:53

Is there a problem with the team we seem to be overlooking? At the beginning of the season we were winning games - ok it's been a downward spiral since then - but has everyone in our large pool of players suddenly become spineless? We haven't been able to score goals - or even find the target - are all our strikers suddenly useless? I am one who has welcomed PC but since his arrival we've suddenly become even worse than we were.
So is there something deeper going on? we get players and others all saying the right things - but are they hiding something we are not privy to? It's as though no one in the team can be bothered turning up on match day! I don't believe that every player has decided they are for the chop so why bother. I think the problem is bigger than lets get rid of the lot and get new in - be interested in others thoughts.
