Good performance. Think we'll miss Wellens if he goes back. He has an excellent football brain. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come from N'Daw now he is nearing full fitness. Edwards is so much better on the wing and it sounds like the two CB's played well today. My worries are the two full back positions as Chambers is not a natural and Cresswell has not been as solid as last year, and also the GK - I don't think that Henderson is any better than Loach so see no reason for him being here. Up front Campbell is a very good striker at this level and Murphy is solid if not spectacular. I would like to see Mohsni given a game to see what he can do. But overall a great win and up the league we go!

Can't say I've seen much of him but I do like the sound of his versatility and he must have quality if he was wanted by Celtic and West Ham. Sounds like a bit of a hothead but if he can learn to channel this in the right way (Rooney style) then it may be a good thing. Had a look at Southend supporters' opinion of him - they think he's great. While on the subject, I must comment that whenever I do this when we are linked with a player, I never come across an unofficial club site with as much content or quality as this one. I think this would be a decent signing. SPL may be a poor league but (the old) Rangers and Celtic would comfortably win the Championship, in my opinion, so him not being a regular in their side shouldn't be too discouraging. |

Judging by the fact that we are offering "a long way from the terms they were after", I doubt the move will be revived. We would certainly be offering more money than they are on at Peterborough so I am inclined to agree with those who say that these two think a little bit much of themselves, although I wouldn't go as far as to call them "greedy b***ards" as, judging by our recent history in the transfer market, I'm guessing we are still offering below what would be expected. I would still like to sign them, they are good players as this level, but I'm happy for us to look at other targets as long as they are as good and actually willing to come. |

h32 - I am going by a couple of Peterborough supporting friends and multiple fans on the Posh message boards. Consensus seems to be that he has gone a bit stale over the last year or two but is still seen as a club legend. Fingers crossed a new start is just what he needs! Taylor sounds like a bit of an enigma, who can conjure something out of nothing but can go missing at time( cough-JET-cough). Hopefully with a (slightly) better quality of player around him he can produce more magical moments than mediocre ones. We'll just have to wait and see! |

Two top signings I think. Posh fans are gutted to be losing them - especially Boyd. We now have good options and depth in every attacking position. Hopefully, this will give JET and Chops a kick up the back-side and enable us to drop Carson to the bench as I think it is asking too much of him to start every game. I'm sure that the CB issue will be addressed and I'm hoping for one more defensive minded player and then I think we'll be good to go. Competition for place is exactly what we need after two lacklustre performance from a team that looked to have become complacent. COYB! |
