Not automatically, as there is still the formal primary process to go through. But there is unlikely to be any serious challenges, as Democrats are worried about a repeat of the Carter re-election campaign (where a failed primary challenge by Ted Kennedy was widely seen a contributor to the disastrous general election defeat).
