Agreed. Difficult to turn down with a year left. And I'm not sure KM has ever been that convinced. Always thought Omari staying was more important than HH coming in, so was gutted to hear the news from Sat. Still live in hope KM can persuade him to commit to another year via the old arm round the shoulder. Also still think Cajuste will come to us over Saudi. Which will soften the HH blow. I also sense there will be a big name curveball in there somewhere this week. Gonna be an interesting few days.... |

Which makes no sense unless they have a buyer he wants to go to. Suspect there will be more fun and games to come on this⦠|

Omari staying would be a bigger coup than any incoming transfer activity. Let's hope everyone at the club turns their phones off for the day... |

A point KOA made is that it's quality over quantity given last year's recruitment strategy. To me as important as the right type of recruitment, is going to be keeping hold of players like Omari and Leif, which will be tricky. In particular, retaining Omari in my view is far more important to our success than getting Cajuste back, much as I rate him. [Post edited 9 Jul 10:03]

Really? Thatās disappointing. Feckin clueless idiots. I thought it was a really genuine and well-worded statement. Letās hope a lot of these cretins disappear now weāre back in the champ⦠|

Good luck Liam - you lit up an otherwise pretty drab season. Heāll be in the full England squad by the time the yearās out⦠[Post edited 4 Jun 21:11]

Cracking player. Can safely say we wouldnāt be where we are now without his contribution, which is probably the highest compliment you can give. One of those players who delivered far more than anyone expected. Best wishes for the future Mass. An absolute Ipswich legend šš»šŖš¼ |

Much depends obviously on who stays and who we recruit, but if we end up with a front line of Hirst +1 CF, Szmods, J Clarke, Hutch, Jaden and Broady you'd have to think that would be pretty devastating for the Champ. And with the right recruitment behind it in MF, you'd be disappointed if we didn't end up Top 2. I don't get the negativity creeping in already re next season - some people clearly (perversely) enjoy it. |

Like the look of that. We should be capable of getting something from this. Important one psychologically this one youād feel. In terms of taking some momentum into the next game and next season. COYFBs šŖš¼ |

Randomly bumped into SS last night in a local pub. Lovely guy. Took time to have pics with my boys and chat about the season. Wonāt betray too many confidences but thinks heāll be back for Leicester game. Has just bought a place in south Essex and says heās happy to be settled again. Said the hardest thing with the prem has been the speed/physicality and the fact that when you lose the ball you might not see it again for 10 mins. Said some very interesting things about that transfer and why it went on for so long. Said Blackburn wanted a financial clause relating to if we made the champions league ! |

Does feel like a big one that though, even for us optimists. Poor defending and no cutting edge. Against an incredibly poor Man U side. Weāre increasingly looking like weāre not good enough which is a concern. Maybe Southampton did the damage. Itās not over but itās looking pretty slim now. We need a season developing back into a team. All looks a bit disjointed. Oh well no one ever said it was gonna be easy⦠|
