Excellent read ….appreciated…..I happened to read an article in the Athletic yesterday called The Sadness of Ipswich Town” written in March 2020…putting the Wednesday result in perspective of that article makes one appreciate so much what we have now versus then….to be able to feel “disappointed” on the back of the draw…do you know what, I’ll take it because of everything we have and enjoy now ….

Simpson Huddersfield Deal Closer
at 14:00:51

Not sure how Dyer is “sulking”….a compassionate, switched on and highly driven individual who deeply cared about his job, his club and charges…he wanted the best for the young players…he made clear he wasn't aligned to the club position on pathways and resigned …with good conduct and head held high. Yes emotive but hugely passionate. His points about pathways remains. Recent evidence is Liam Gibbs starting for Norwich at the weekend….I want the club to do everything in the power to make sure that that cannot happen again…I accept they cannot control everything but I hope that the loans and current pathway policies are clear to the younger players

Simpson Huddersfield Deal Closer
at 14:17:09

Very much agree UptheTown….it is very much about the pathway and less to do with money…Dyer was absolutely clear on this…the evidence is there with Gibbs…no clear pathway no definitive commitment…I really hope that the club are managing this clearly with the younger players managing expectations…the evidence of Ndaba etc going on loan in recentl months suggests that the club does have a plan and some of the younger players are buying into it. I really hope that Simpson is the exception…that the club have learnt something from the episode and the likes of Gibbs doesn't happen again…or as much as can be done is done

McKenna: Disappointing Night
at 08:16:35

Which ever way it is cut it is disappointing when one sees other teams in our league beating championship teams…it is naive to think large numbers of first team staters would be risked especially after the manager made clear his starting 11 for the game…nevertheless I did hope the team was good enough to win…Portsmouth will have momentum and encouragement after their win last night…so it is disappointing that we have not progressed and I would have hoped the manager reflect that…but as others have said win Saturday and it will pass….

Celina Set to Join Turkish Club Kasımpaşa
at 17:36:09

I'll miss the Blue Action Celina song…it is excellent!…I will miss a player that brought magic and smiles…maybe not often enough…but magic and smiles when it happened…from “That Goal”…to Fleetwood away when he changed the dynamic of a stubborn team on the worlds sh!!test pitch….just class…yep disappointment but as many say I trust that MA/KM have made the right call for the best of the club and team

McKenna: Simpson Wants to Move On in the Summer
at 07:33:39

I see it as a sad reflection of football…Kieron Dyer alluded to it…youth pathway to the first team…money, agents, club pressure for results. Strip back the emotions of how KD presented his thoughts, KD could not aligned himself to what was happening to youth players at ITFC. I hope the TS situation is more straight forward and not further evidence of reasons behind KD leaving. That could then undermine the Gamechanger/Ashton proposition longer term

Ipswich Town 1-0 Plymouth Argyle - Match Report
at 20:16:34

Fantastic atmosphere, great game, excellent football…pick of the players…Norwood good game huge energy…held the ball well, contrasting with Bonne when he came on. Bakinson another progressive game, strong, tenacious but too often a loose pass …correct that and he will be good..always loving Aluko…calm, skill, energy…thoroughly made it worth while trekking up the sh@&y A12 through awful traffic…re KD …if you haven't seen Statmans 90mins with Kieran make sure you watch it…KD so eloquent and engaging thoughtful and passionate…a huge loss..shouldn't have left …but massive respect and spot on for being a fan today

That was a fantastic atmosphere today …if our American friends are not impressed by the febrile atmosphere today I don't know what will.. it wasn't as good as football Tuesday night against Lincoln but great entertainment…to lose the players we have today/this week and still deserve to win playing great football…aside from a win today what do people want??……our club has won the lottery ticket with our investors…just look at who was on the pitch today….and the entertainment…burgess comes in not a foot wrong, Thompson best game so far, Bakinson growing into each game…Woolfenden oh so f”@&£)( calm….I love being a Town supporter at the moment…after years of sh”@&£ I'm loving it …..and here's to you Blue Action … drumming it up!!!

Appleton: Town the Best Side in This Division By a Distance
at 09:33:12

A short few months ago on a Tuesday night we were given a lesson in the realities of this division by an imperious Rotherham. They were simply much better. Fast forward to last night, watching the game I can't wait to see us against Rotherham now. Very gracious of Appleton

Ipswich Town 2-0 Lincoln City - Match Report
at 00:49:36

Aluko was classy…just classy…as Fat_Boy said, outrageous moments of skill and vision…he was a huge bundle of energy, an absolute engine…Bakinson his best game and continued from his positive cameo at Fleetwood…he had moments of poor first touch and wanton passes but he was combative, strong and positive..much better from Thompson too…and like Janoi Woolfenden has stepped up and is so assured and composed…excellent forward running, and just way past cool…
…Burgess cameo was positive too…Alas Carroll not so…too lightweight as others have said.
Great entertainment great evening…it's just so energised

Pigott and Jackson for me …with Bakinson in for Chaplin…which is harsh. But allows Morsey to go forward…get that early goal

McKenna: Disappointed, Frustrated Dressing Room
at 00:30:20

Thompson limited, can't beat a player, too defensive, Carroll too safe, too narrow and too slow. Sorry Kayden you can't make a ball stick…and sorry Kieran, I think you got it wrong with not keeping Piggott up front with Kayden…that works …but it was an entertaining game…there was good football upto the 70th minute…then we lost the plot…even Woolfenden got flustered…disappointed, frustrated but I did enjoy the game…hopefully we learn even more as a team and so does the manager…every game you can see progress…oh and Wes when you put the ball into the upper tier of SBR during the warm up I said to my daughter that I hoped you put a pair of shooting boots on for the game….!

For those that under estimate Piggott wait and see…it was his strength and determination that led the ball dropping for Burns for the pass into Jackson for the first goal…Piggott was good yesterday…Tuesday he will score!!!

We look like a team, the players look like they know what they are doing, the players look very fit and they look a very close unit. A very impressive manager too…all very switched on. Was impressed with Piggott too today…very strong…deserved a goal…it will do wonders for his confidence too.

Good detail from KVY …it is refreshing…one point of note that became apparent as the second half progressed on Saturday was that Town seemed fitter and more athletically mobile than Stanley. Hopefully a sign of those consecutive days training and improved fitness
