| News Comment | McCarthy Tight-Lipped on Sharp Move But Keeper Deal Agreed at 07:14:39
Even though it's really hard to credibly doubt recent signings på MM, I keep asking my self if they can help build a team with any chance of survival in the Premiership. The biggest positive for me was the display by Sears which was, I think, of real quality and could indicate a potential to build on. But it is a very small sample. If Sharpe is also signed, the striking force - and numbers - have been expanded so that I wonder if a crazy bid for Murphy or McGoldrick could be on it's way, freeing up money for more prominent signings. I am obviously happy with the way things are going, but I also think it is too obvious that we have very few players with PL-potential, probably only a handfull at the most. |

A talented striker would be nice. McGoldrick and Murphy have consistently been injury free for most of the season, but if this changes, who do we have to step up? A talented, young striker on loan from the premiership with an option to buy if promoted would fit. |
| News Comment | McGoldrick Missing From 18 at Derby at 15:47:39
The revenue from Creswell is insignificant compared to 8 millions - at least until a few clauses are triggered. 8 millions is a heck of a lot of money - almost as much as Leeds got from mcGormack ! |
| News Comment | McGoldrick Missing From 18 at Derby at 15:34:56
let him go. It's so silly money. One last minute quality signing of a striker, and/or 1-2 quality loan signings for creative midfield and attack with options of permanency. Sad to see him go, but it's a lifesaver for the longer term. |

| News Comment | Smith: We Looked More Like a Premier League Side at 06:46:02
Just seems that Luongo is pure quality and the best loanee for years. Awesome that a 19 year old can control the midfield. Also, he seems to lift the players around him. |
| News Comment | Jewell: Cresswell Enquiry But No Bid And We Want to Keep Him at 07:01:40
If a Premier league side offers good money for a premiership player I'm pretty sure what's gonna happen. They will get him, and so they should since it both strengthens club finances and offers new opportunities to any ambitious player. Loosing out on money and having a discouraged player around is no good. I can't read between the lines exactly how firm the interest of Villa is in this case. Should they make a serious offer I will see it not only as a well deserved bonus for Cresswell but also as succesfull clubmanagement allowing new quality signings and - hopefully - inclusion of new talents from the youth side to the first team. If Villa were to offer say 4 million and Cresswell feels up to the challenge it would be absolutely crazy not to go on with the deal. The team and the new signings look so promising this year, my only worry is that quite a few new players need to gel into the first time as quickly as possible. There is no such thing as a good start to the season. |
| News Comment | Jewell: Town Now More Flexible at 06:34:53
He he. When so many players - Smith, Edwards, Hyam, Martin, Jet, Murphy, Chops - decide to improve their game it's hard to not also add more flexibility :-) |
