Burns: Supporters Need to Stick With Us
@lloyds - I tried supporting the players that had done well on Saturday by clapping Macaulay Bonne as he came over to the North Stand after the game. I got abused and threatened by a fellow supporter a couple of rows in front who didn't agree with me clapping anyone!
Town Target Rangers Defender Edmundson
Yes! This would be a great deal! One area we're still lacking in quality cover for. Would still like to see the Celina deal done and get Coulson in on loan too. Get this one done and then move on to those. COYB
Ashton: First-Day Crowd Roar Will Be Special
I'm gutted can't be there for first game! 18 months of being locked indoors and I end up getting double booked with a gig in London and first day of the season. I will be getting my mate to live call me I think, can't wait for this season to begin! COYB!!
Keeper Kits Unveiled
actually prefer this to the home kit, better neckline and no pinstripes. Like the rippling effect on it too.
Blues Close in on Evans Signing
I don't understand how there are still some people moaning! We have made 2 very good signings, signings who a lot of fans identified as good potential. We are literally on Ashton's 4th day in charge! Loads more will be done between now and the end of the window. Yes people might have moaned about getting players in on freebies under the Evans era but generally the standard of these players would have been below par and often picking up the dregs at the end of the window. We've identified targets early and gone in for them, beating higher up teams to their signatures, what's not to like? Also don't see the issue with signing ex Cook players and players Ashton knows, they'll know their capabilities and they'll know their mentality and work ethic etc, we want players who not only know how to play football the right way but players who have the right discipline, attitude etc.
Ashton: Cook Absolutely the Right Manager for Town
So he'll identify the targets, and then it's your job form there? “No, he's part of it. Whether it's Paul, his staff, the scouts, relationships that we have, it's a funnel. All the names will go into the funnel and they will be measured against Paul's technical specifications and what comes out of that are players that we believe will be right for this football club.
“But what we won't do, no player at first-team level will come into the football club without Paul Cook saying he wants them, and we don't work like that because I just don't believe in that.
“He has to say yes, he wants that player. There will never be shocks or surprises because he'll be part of the process all the way through, and when we get to the endpoint, and we agree that's the player we want, it then goes to me to do the negotiation and the financial piece.”
Blues Linked With Sunderland Trio
I'd be well happy with Charlie Wyke, 2nd top goal scorer in the league what's not to like. Don't know a great deal about Max Power but sounds pretty decent. The young lad though I'm not so sure, only played in the under 23's, we've got plenty of our own with that level of experience. We need proven quality if we're really serious about going for promotion.
Town Begin Safe Standing Discussions
Cheshire_Blue it's not the entire ground, they're talking about a small area of sir bobby lower, which in fairness has always gotten away with standing up anyway. If you want to sit down then you are perfectly entitled to do so, but if you have an issue with people in your way, sit in a different area of the ground where people don't tend to stand up.
Cook: When It Starts Happening They’ll Come Back in Their Droves
"Cook says he’s looking forward to being at Portman Road with 20,000-plus supporters in it next season."
I know I'll get down voted for this but I just can't imagine us having more than 20k in the stadium. Season ticket prices stayed the same despite a poor season in the same league, not very enticing to new fans. We don't yet know the level of player we will be signing and some may be sceptical given the deadline dates. I don't understand the point of the early bird, just keep the prices the same at any point, why price people out?
I feel the refund options are shocking in the scheme of things. Many who have had more than one season ticket being paid for in their household are paying £230 for a poor quality ifollow stream that they would've probably only used 1 code for between them anyway! Given that Millwall offered renewals at £39 for the season and the scum are letting people renew for FREE IN THE PREM I would've expected better given that they want more people to be in the ground. They keep telling us the fans are the most important people. Yes it is a business but take this hit of cash and make the fans happy, it will pay off in the long run.
Season Ticket Prices Frozen and Free Tickets For U19s and U12s
Disgusting imo. Some households may have 3 or 4 season ticket holders but only using 1 code to watch together therefore losing out big time. I get the club would be losing money to give them away for free but how have Millwall managed to do next season, for people who paid for 2020/21 , at £39 for the season and we can't with all this investment?
Cook: Would I Have Done Things Differently? Not Particularly
“I think in these next four games, Andre Dozzell’s been top class in the last two games, has played really, really well. I think these four games are a chance for people. Like I’ve told the lads, you have to be selfish now."
Oh no! Not only did he say Dozzell was top class (what has he been smoking?) he also said "really really well". Remind you of anyone?
I like Paul Cook, I appreciate his honesty but he keeps changing his mind. One week the players were no good and he didn't care if they were hurting, this week he's saying he's not gonna blame them and we should blame him. I just hope he gets enough budget to bring in a lot of new players but unfortunately it sounds like 'Dozza' is here to stay!
Keeper-Coach Walker Leaves Town
@Nobbysnuts - You missed Judge! Also Thomas has already left, he returned to Barnsley last week I believe for personal reasons relating to his mental health.
