Former Blues Defender Smith Joins Sunderland
@ArnieM, yes but with the exception of Woolfy he is still better than anything we have - wouldn't you agree?
Also a manager saying "I didn't want to leave us short in the last 3 months" THERES A LESSON FOR YOU MARCUS
Would have taken Smith in a heartbeat- could have been a great option
Lambert Still Targeting Top Two
@Mark, it would indeed be a failure and also a disaster.
With the squad he has at his disposal we should have pi**ed this league.
There are lots of people posting that they knew from start of season that it would be a result if we even made play offs(same people went quiet after 15 odd games when we were top) WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE THEN.
Also Lambert keeps banging on about how we have 9 home games to go, that would be great if we didn't have a better away record.
Plus not having beaten anyone in top 8 we have teams like Coventry/Portsmouth who are hitting form to come to our place, doesn't bode well.
We might just make play offs(forget automatic Lambert your dreaming) if
1/ keep Holy in goal - Norris should be nowhere near 1st team
2/Sears should play - BUT NOT AS A WINGBACK
3/ personally I would rather Terry Butcher make a comeback and play instead of Cole "the crab" Skuse
4/ Give Dobra some game time, it cannot hurt and he did well earlier in season when played.
5/ Hopefully Butcher can help sort defence out as we NEVER look like keeping a clen sheet against any half decent team.
AFC Wimbledon 0-0 Ipswich Town - Half-Time
OMG I sure hope this is our bad half, 1 shot on target in another dour half
What is the point of Skuse, all he did for first 20 mins was give ball back to Wimbledon it was like 12 playing 10
Didn’t realise Norwood/Jackson were playing until about 25 mins in, ITS NOT ALL THEIR FAULT, WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CREATIVITY IN TEAM WHATSOEVER
Summed up perfectly with last kick of half where Chambers thumped the ball 60 yards to no one under no pressure
Wimbledon are s#it and if we don’t beat these tonight we really are struggling, really disappointing so far
Lambert: No Complaints, We Didn't Do Enough
Exactly @tariccofan - He knows EXACTLY how Rotherham play, so wtf did he not play 6 ft 7” holy in goal to counteract balls being constantly lumped into our box
Can’t knock Rotherham, that’s twice they’ve deservedly beat us and they’re good at what they do.
Lankester Targeting Return Before End of Season
@whoisjimmyjuan - that’s because some of these players have at times played TWICE, YES TWICE in a month.
Which is why we look like a team lost at times, way too much rotation and players not getting used to each other and not playing the same system consistently.
Like all the rest of the teams in this and all the other leagues - PICK AND PLAY YOUR BEST 11 AND STICK WITH IT FOR A GOOD PERIOD( injuries aside naturally)
Sometimes think PL still thinks he’s at one of the massive clubs he used to play for, yawn
Exeter City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
I didn’t feel it right to knock/slate him when we were top of league but even then we weren’t playing well and were rather fortunate in a number of games.
Now though we aren’t top of league(and sliding) aren’t playing well and have just lost to a league 2 team so I think I can have a pop.
Basically his record has been pretty ordinary at best on results since he started and it is plain and simple that the rotation is hampering us.
Not interested in the continuous WAFFLE he’s spouting it’s getting boring and I couldn’t give a crap what big clubs he used to play for, sort it out or get out.
COULDNT MAKE IT UP - DONT WIN IN 10 SLIDING DOWN LEAGUE PLAYING RUBBISH SO IS REWARDED WITH BUMPER NEW CONTRACT - MOST MANAGERS WOULD HAVE BEEN SACKED
Town Make Three Changes at Lincoln
dissyboyitfc - what about Huws, best player in the league and he is used in the leasing.com- sparingly, absolute sH*TE, he will be off in jan. and who can blame him.
Agree about Holy, how can you drop your own player to play a loan one just so they don't recall him - ludicrous.
As someone quite rightly pointed out on another thread, even if evans gave lambert some money to spend in jan. who in their right mind would come here to play 2 games a month.
Absolutely disgraceful, we are itfc in league 1 not Liverpool chasing 4 competitions(and then the likes of salah/firmino/mane/van dyke play unless injured)
PLAY A FEKIN SETTLED TEAM FOR GODS SAKE MAN
Ipswich Town 0-0 Gillingham - Match Report
Beginning to lose patience/faith very quickly now, we look truly awful no shots on target again today, no cohesion and no clue,Lambert hasn’t a clue - unbelievably only made one change today and that was in 80th minute. Outplayed at home YET AGAIN by an average side who were more threatening and created loads more chances than us.
Why is hughes not playing more games?
Why was Downes on bench?
Town Linked With Ross County Defender
Barty - don’t think there is anything wrong with our strikers, rather the service or lack of it is the problem, no creativity whatsoever is reason we are scoring so few
Colchester United 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Interesting, I wonder what the opinions of some of the above posters would be if say we played a Norwood/Downes and lost them for the rest of season due to an injury.
Not saying it’s right but anyone going to these games knows full well what team we will be fielding.
However I do think he should start playing a settled team regularly in the league, with Hues starting as imo he’s the best player in this league by a mile, can see him leaving come January as not getting enough game time which would be a travesty.
Colchester United 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Don’t care about this competition one jot, just keep giving the youngsters some game time(even if we keep progressing)
Also our away form is better than home generally so may not be a bad thing.
Gill: There Will Be Changes But We'll Still Be Strong
Seriously, agree with all the above comments especially @bettyblue, we’ve got to start putting our best team out whenever possible, this constant chopping and changing isn’t doing us any good. Even though we are top of the league I have watched us 6 times this season and though playing REALLY well in patches against Tranmere and Sunderland if we’re honest, we haven’t been that good so far, don’t need to mention Accrington/Rotherham-dire.
I really believe if we keep a settled team we will really start to play better and dominate games( which to be honest, with the squad we have, we should be doing anyway) and go on to pizz this league.
