McCarthy Denies Aiming Tirade at Fans

"Didn't tell the travelling ITFC fans to F off ??" . I've come to the conclusion he is either short sighted or blind as he probably thought it was the Norwich fans singing "your football is sh#t" and thought he was aiming it at them. That's why he thinks we play open, expansive, attractive football and why all of his post match analysis is shockingly bad. It must be a money orientated decision why this man is still at our club. Any self respecting Chairman would have got rid months ago but this has to be the final straw. P45 in the morning. I'll be waiting for the yellow breaking news banner along the bottom of the Sky Sports screen tomorrow Mr Evans!!

The club have to bring some invention and creativity to our midfield. Lets see if the talk of using the transfer fee from Aaron Cresswell's move to West Ham was just that....All talk!!. Theres been talk lately of players dropping down a league to find their level ie Frank Nouble, so maybe Danny Graham might be proof of that.

You just knew it. Looked a calm, assured finish too. So why are our loan players looking good at their adopted clubs. Lets hope they come back full of confedence and firing on all cylinders, but I doubt they will ever get another look in.

Stevenage 2-0 Town

I said after the Reading defeat that we needed more goals from midfield with more creativity and a proven 20 goals a season striker. Well after last nights defeat nothing has changed but the strikers need service and I think there is goals in McGoldrick, Murphy, Nouble and Taylor. With Southampton looking for more money for Billy Sharpe than we can afford it looks like Mick will have to look hard into his midfield options, whether thats a loan or permanent signing. I'd still like Stearman from Wolves and Henderson from West Ham but at least the team is our own and not made up of loan signings but the squad does look a bit thin. Give the team time to gel and Mick and Terry will get it right. I'd hoped Marcus Evans would have backed Mick and the coaching team a bit more after what they acheived last season when it looked a near certainty we were heading for league 1. Keep the faith and hope we can get three points on Saturday. We don't want to lose the best manager we've had in a few years.

Reading 2-1 Town

Was at the game and the support in numbers was great to see. Not the best time to allow Reading to draw level and the ball should never have been allowed to come into the box after the corner but then you have to deal with it if it does. Still think we need a 20 goal a season striker (is Billy Sharpe available) and some creativity and goals from midfield as we just seemed to play it up from the back and hope for a flick on. It won't take long for other teams to work that one out. Thought Tyrone did OK first half and the unfortunate OG seemed to dent a bit of confidence but he is one for the future at only 18. I wonder if Mick can work a bit more magic and get Wolves to sell us Stearman. Chins up boys....40+ games to go
