Until this cretin of an owner goes our beloved ITFC is at best going to be an also ran. They guy has no idea and if anyone is out of his depth it is him. We need a chairman with character, with a love for the club, a reachable goal and the willingness to use the necessary resources to make this happen. Until then...... |

| News Comment | Beattie Family Guests of the Club as Team-Mates Pay Tribute at 19:01:54
The Beat was a legend. That cannot be taken away but his wife is still here and sadly she has MS. Rather than raise money for family charities why not raise money to support the Beats wife and show her how much he was loved and respected. |
| News Comment | Newcastle Match All-Ticket at 17:54:49
I am lucky to have been watching Town back in the 1970's during the glory days of the FA and UEFA cup. Sir Bobby was both loved by the fans and respected by the players. Sir Bobby did build a team of young players but he also had the funds to bring in some good names where needed. Not many during his tenure I grant you but names like Hunter (can't remember how much, Muhren for 150,000, Thijssen for £220,000, and also Paul Mariner for £220,000. These were large sums of money back in the late seventies and probably equivalent to millions today. MM has the support of the board (or in this case owner) but not the money to bring in much needed talent. What about the promise of funds released from selling Cresswell, Mings and more lately Murphy. Managing Ipswich must be like trying to drink soup with your arms tied behind your back, and with a blindfold on. All recent managers have found the job a poisoned chalice. I don't think it matters who manges Town and until the club gets an owner prepared and able to invest it will remain so. |

By Mick - thanks for the lack of memories. But to be fair MM has been starved of funds. Windfall cash promised and never forthcoming. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Understands Fans' Frustrations at 18:53:53
No male cow poo (to get around unacceptable language) - these players and this manager are not up to the task. Add to that an owner that has very little or no interest in the team, and despite pulling in some cash from good deals selling players has tightly held the purse strings so we end up with free transfers and loan players. If you need inspiration Mick watch Ipswich vs WBA in 76 on youtube. Exciting players creating opportunities and not frightened to have a go. |
| News Comment | Town 2-2 Bristol City - Match Report at 18:08:34
Four points dropped in the last two home games, and a cup game that was not worth playing with just the B team. Disappointing and unacceptable week all round. Come on Mick - we expect far better. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Penalty Decisions Pivotal at 15:53:23
Well done Mick and the boys for a cracking season. We did not get the dream ticket to Wembley but no one can say the team failed this year. What a team compared to the days a few years back when the damp squib and the dark lord were in charge. Already looking forward to next year! |
| News Comment | Town on Hot Food Policy at 22:10:05
If the food inside the venue was sensibly priced then fine - and also if the queues were not half as long as they are then fine. Neither meet the criteria so to me it's nothing more than forcing fans to eat over priced food with a shabby service when getting it. Very poor. |

Very best of luck Carlos and a good signing for Millwall. A good and loyal servant to ITFC. |

Top servant for Town. Loyal and gives his best each and every time. Best of luck Carlos where ever you end up. |
| News Comment | Martin Set for Millwall at 23:36:09
Best of luck Lee. Never questioned his commitment - just lacked the finishing touch. |
| News Comment | Henderson Close to Loan Return at 08:41:02
No thanks Not because he's a bad keeper or anything. But its a loan again taking the place of a good signed keeper (and one who is a true blue). Loach did well towards the end of the season, and showed he deserves his position. |
| News Comment | Southampton Amongst Clubs Eyeing Cresswell at 18:59:48
I think MM will be a muppet if he sells Creswell, even for a super profit. At long last the team has a solid back four thats really hard to beat. If the team do make the play offs, and who knows go even further, we need the like of him. On top of the Creswell is fond of running up front. Don't be tempted Mick! |
