Wark Tops Stand Pillar Poll
I was under the impression that this wasn't supposed to be about who supporters favorite players were but that legends and service to the club should be taken into account, therefore how Simon Milton hasn't made the cut is disrespectful to the service he has given.
Stand Pillars to Pay Tribute to Fans' Favourites
Tony Mowbray, Micky Stockwell, Mark Brennan, David Lowe, Claus Thomsen, Trevor Wymark, Luke Chambers, Paul Mariner, Ray Crawford, Mick Mills, Marcus Stewart & Simon Milton.
Bart Happy to Sign Permanently at Millwall
So many supporters really do not understand how things work in the transfer market. It's easy to say "he's worth more than that" and "we should stick to our guns on price" but the reality is that, rightly or wrongly, the player has so much more influence than any other party in these situations.
If Bart wants a permanent move to Millwall, which he obviously does then Ipswich have very little option other than to take what is on offer regardless of who else is interested in him otherwise you run a serious risk of being lumbered with a player on your books who doesn't want to play for you, is unsettled and ends up running his contract down whilst you pay him extortionate wages before leaving on a free transfer..... Wake up people this is real football not FIFA on the Xbox!
Priority for Regular Away Fans for AFC Wimbledon Trip
Well done to the club on this one, of course it's the fairest way of selling the tickets. Anyone moaning about buying a gold card have only themselves to blame for not realising that this was going to be the situation for wimbledon (and to some extent Southend) however the vouchers and free ticket offer that comes with the Goldcard financially more than outweighs the initial cost.... Moaners will always moan!
Garbutt: There Will Be Discussions With Everton and Ipswich, We’ll Just Have to Wait and See
I was invited into an executive box on Saturday and happened to be sitting a couple of seats next to Luke's dad, I had a brief chat with him st half time asking what the chances of him signing permanently. He said that Luke was really happy with how things were going at the club, was settled at a house in Woodbridge and loved the fact that he was playing every week and in front of decent sized crowds at Portman Road. He mentioned that the only negative from Luke's perspective was location as he'd like to be at a permanent club further north however this wouldn't be the deciding factor on him signing here. I got the impression that much of it would depend on promotion and if the club could come up with something suitable with his representatives.... Not much exclusive information I know but he seemed a nice guy and led me to believe that there may be a chance should promotion be achieved.
Norwood Set for Wrestling Debut
Wrestling isn't a sport and is just plain embarrassing, especially watching the adults in the crowd who believe it.
Lambert: Downes is Getting Better and Better
His movement was excellent on Saturday, if he keeps his feet grounded he's got a great chance to make it as a top flight player.
I was also seriously impressed with Wolfenden, he was so calm in difficult situations and his positioning spot on, he's another one with a big future if we look after him.
Drinan in Irish U21s Squad
I still have a feeling that Drinnan might come good, a good finisher. Fingers are crossed for him.
Lambert: It's a Repair Job First and Foremost
From the moment Paul Lambert walked through the door I don't believe anybody can disagree with word that he has said. He talks sense, has passion on the sidelines and is a total breath of fresh air following some horrendous managerial failures. The best thing that can happen to this club is for Marcus Evans to see Lambert as the future regardless of what happens between now and May and allow him the opportunity to make Ipswich Town Football Club great again.
