Who Said Suffolk's Flat?
at 13:40:43

Good work, excellent effort, that's a decent stash of cash. The hand/wrist thing is not uncommon, I had the same thing last summer afer cycling from south London to Norwich. The tendons in my little finger are still screwed.

Good piece and some interesting points. However, I think he's guilty of some revisionism. Yes, the financial climate wasn't great but it's nothing like the last 4 or 5 years. Also, contrary to his opinion, he and the board were guilty of poor planning and overstretching the club. Yes, the transfer window came in but they did know that and could have better planned for it. Having said that, David Cameron's lies were guilty for clubs believing ITV Digital would not go to the wall.

I'd just like to know who they are so I can point and laugh. I suspect they are mis-shapen faced bumpkins.

Town Target Crawley Striker
at 16:34:05

Illustrative of how much Crawley are paying him if he won't move up two divisions at the age of 26, just because he wants to stay in the South. Makes you wonder where the cash is coming from on gates of 3000...

Clegg: Town Keen to Own Freehold
at 13:40:14

There's only two reasons why anyone would want to buy the freehold to a town centre football ground. Firstly, to sell the land at some future point in order to make money. Secondly, to make the club a more attractive purchase so that any future buyer could sell the land to make some money. If Ipswich Council sell the land without an enormously watertight Restrictive Covenant, they will be guilty of putting the final nail in ITFC's coffin.

@lightningboy. Indeed, it would seem to be rare but maybe some do and just don't shout about it. I vaguely recall Titus and Kieron contributing some funding to our youth set up a few years back?

Good stuff Kingston Blue! Although I only played 1 game, I will be back for sure. Providing there are no FA Cup replays on the day, of course.

Of all the grounds where vuvus would be detrimental to atmosphere ... And how can it be a musical instrument? It only has one note. Mind you, I guess a drum does too.

I'm not sure Fulham are particularly financially prudent, they have a rich benefactor. Fulham might not pay huge transfer fees but they pay some of the best wages in town. Same as Wigan, same as Bolton, same as Pompey, all of those clubs have HUGE debts, although I'm not sur ethe extent of Fulham's.

I think there's a bout a dozen clubs who have been the subject of winding up petitions of late. John Beech's site is well worth visiting if you are that interested. http://footballmanagement.wordpress.com/

So, your opinion is your opinion but someone else's opinion is them "liking the sound of their own voice"?

Good stuff, Sanity. I haven't read the previous blog but will now. Although i would like to know if "As it currently stands, Marcus Evans has largely delivered on what he promised ..." was tongue in cheek? I ask because the proceeding three paragraphs seem to suggest otherwise.
