McKenna: Certainly a Possibility Delap Will Be an Ipswich Player Next Season
at 16:56:55

If we do not need to sell him contractually then we should keep him and let him help us get promoted again. Sounds like the release clause will prevent that though. Shame as this is the first place he has really hit the ground running and a season in the championship where it is perhaps easier for him to develop his game might be beneficial to him in the long run.

Hirst: Unity and Togetherness Will Stand Us in Good Stead Next Season
at 13:43:19

Lee, you are quite correct, we are not as good as Saka, Rice, Salah, Bowen, Son, Doku because these are all world class players, playing for world class teams. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as just signing a load of world class players when you are a newly promoted team. I too would like to see a bit more 'bite', but then isn't that what Leif tried on Saturday? and look at how that turned out.

It's not about being happy clappers, happy to lose etc either. No-one wants to lose ever, but you have to look at the bigger picture, take the lessons learned and go again. The best way of becoming a top top team again is to stay calm, analyse where we can improve, and go again.

That process can be hard to watch when we are getting smashed by Arsenal and getting relegated but the wealth gap has become enormous since we were last in the Premier League as well you know, and the question really is, how can we best bridge that gap. Forest did it by over spending and breaking the rules, but maybe that IS the only way, that and building out our foreign recruitment over the next 12 months.

McKenna: Much Appreciated and Not Quickly Forgotten
at 06:19:45

The support is there because we can see how hard the players, coaching staff
and management are working. This attitude has been absent for 15
Years prior to being taken over by the new owners.

But there is strong belief we are a well run football club now,
Our trajectory remains upwards and we can see us establishing ourselves
And then getting back into Europe, just like Forest and Villa.

We have learned over the years that berating players, negativity does not work. That just creates an environment where the players do not want to play for the club. It has a damaging effect. So the positive environment we have lets players and management flourish.

McKenna Commits Future to Town
at 17:51:59

Great news for both parties, I think we are just a great match with where he is at right now, the age of his family, and his experience level. He has a long career ahead of him no doubt, and there really should be no rush for him to go to a big club, be put under a microscope and be under immense stress. We are a great set of supporters that are fully behind him, and our ownership group are experienced, successful and mature, which is exactly what he needs backing him up. So many basket case clubs out there with poor structures and twitchy fans / CEO's / owners, it is a great decision by Kieran to stay at the club where he can further develop. As people say, we have learned a ton this last season, and he can start to map out the vision for a squad that can survive that 1st season in the Premier League and build that squad now he has the time to do it. We can be in Villa / Forest's position if we continue to make sensible decisions which I am sure we will do.

Morsy: We've Refreshed, Taken Stock and Will Come Back Stronger
at 06:20:32

We need to go into this match with the mindset that nothing other than 3 points is good enough. The team will be backed by largely the 1,300 that have followed the team week in, week out since the change of ownership. You know us, we know you. You know will be taking days off work before / after this match to be there. Lets make sure at the end of the 90+ minutes we have fought for everything and given our all (on and off the pitch) so when the players come over to the away end, we are celebrating a victory that nobody is predicting.

McKenna: International Recognition Still Special For Us
at 12:12:20

I hope, regardless of what happens this season, McKenna can see what is being built here and wants to stay. The training ground needs to start immediately, and the path we have set bringing in youngsters, needs to continue. If we can return to the Premier League in 1 year with this crop of youngsters 12 months older, we will be in an amazing situation. I think we all fully trust Ashton / McKenna to fully analyse this season and ensure next time, we are in a stronger position to tolerate the League.

Bobby Robson was here for 13 years, before being England manager for 8 years, before going further in a fantastic career. There is no rush for McKenna to move on this summer, this is an incubation period in his career where he can learn and develop, where he is protected by a mature and well backed management team.

Cajuste: It's Tough But We're Going to Keep Going With Our Heads High
at 07:58:26

At home we need to be far more aggressive to get the fans onside. It is all too timid for me, the players are starting to look like they are at fault. We are lacking leaders and people who have the brass beck to give it a good go. Not enough fight, they do not loo bothered enough, where is the passion?

Playford Road Planning Permission Granted
at 18:48:02

Lets get the foundations in ASAP, we can keep hold of McKenna and get him to stay for 5 more years, and then, we will be in the same position as Villa. He is happy here, his family are happy, if we don't stay up this year, we will bounce back with a very talented group of youngsters, and this year, whatever the outcome will have given us a huge amount of knowledge.

McKenna: Sickening Result
at 22:31:50

We have to largely ignore relegation and continue on with plans for the training ground and to continue developing young talented players. Hopefully McKenna will stay as he will have learned a lot this season about how hard it is to establish a team in the prem and next time he does it he will have more experience to lean on. If he goes we need to stick to the same profile of manager.

Juric: Ugly Situation Because His Attitude Wasn't Good
at 07:29:03

I am not condoning Flynn, but it is not the first time a player has tried to force a move. To be fair to him, i suspect he wants to be closer to family and has a young child, so i can understand if the move is best for his family, he wants to do best by them. I am sure he will return in the summer and the conversation about conduct will be had. It is still a bit of a gamble,
But the lad has talent, we know that.
