 | News Comment | West Brom Sack Mowbray After Three Months at 23:03:30
Lee James. McKenna has no passion? Did you see his reaction to the late goal conceded at Hull last season. Plus a few other reactions this year. Yes he's calm. Good! As for Dyche - nice bloke but not a town man. Everyone knows we got to the Premier League too soon, and we needed at least 2 more transfer windows to be ready. As for league one players, I for one was impressed by Morsey's leadership in the second half on Saturday. I think we should get the opinion of the Arsenal midfielders rather than yours! When McKenna leaves we will probably look overseas. As per Wolves, Brighton, Bournemouth..... |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Much Appreciated and Not Quickly Forgotten at 14:08:06
@Churchman. Sorry mistake to mark you down, should read this on my phone, fingers too big! 100% agree with you. There's a number of fans at home games who have appeared and expected miracles in the Prem. Where were they in MM days on cold wet Tuesdays? Sorry again Churchmans |
 | News Comment | Delap Release Clause £30m at 17:09:06
Everyone seems to think he will want to go. I think he might want to stay. In which case a release clause is irrelevant. If both club and LD are happy he'll stay. Anyway, why move to sit on the bench somewhere. His dad is a wise old owl too. |
 | News Comment | Cajuste: It's Tough But We're Going to Keep Going With Our Heads High at 15:31:16
I would just remind those booing of the MM and RK days. Awful football and a half empty stadium. We are lightweight, we are inexperienced and in some cases selections have been quesionable (I genuinely thought on the way to the game that Burgess would start due to their threat in the air and poor Davis has lost his confidence), but let's support the team, support the manager and be grateful that good times are again just around the corner. And apart from kidnapping how do we get Cajuste to stay? |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe and Burgess Join Lengthy Injury List at 23:48:01
Not sure about Axel, but Burgess got a knock and tried to carry on. No-one to blame, though it looked like a foul on Burgess. Having said that I'll be happy with back 5 that finished the game to play every week now. We have no attacking options though. It's going to be hard now. |
 | News Comment | Manchester United 3-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 23:10:43
Who was it said you can't win anything with kids. We have no experience in the front 4. Maguire has probably played more games than all of them combined in any division. That's why we're clueless. Perhaps it's a long term plan. But there is no excuse for not marking your man, even in zonal defence. Again our 3 behind Delap are too similar and too lightweight, although Omari's defensive work is improving. Write this season off and hope we keep Delap and Cajuste. We will be back. |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Boniface Signing at 20:20:12
Seems good long term planning. We have cover for Davis in Townsend but things could change at end of season. He can be eased in next year |
 | News Comment | Liverpool 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:12:14
I didn't see the game, but we seem to need a settled defence. Shame we lost Burns, and I think Godfrey should have come on. Davis appears to need a rest from what everyone is saying. Neither GK are Premier League class based on what I have seen at PR, but let's stick with Walton. There's a disconnect on the right of thr defence, but one that work on training ground and consistency of selection. Again, based only on PR games, Morsy's lack of pace is killing us. |
 | News Comment | U17s Beaten By Shrews in PDL Cup at 10:25:41
@armchaircritic, interesting point about the Financial side. A lot of Premier League clubs are using their academies to develop players to sell to comply with PSR rules. I think until Academy is upgraded, we will struggle to attract the talent. And by talent I also mean coaches. We have some good coaches, but suffered s few years ago with the ambitions of the coaches not being consistent with the clubs needs. Give it time. |
 | News Comment | U17s Beaten By Shrews in PDL Cup at 18:28:38
A lot of our players who would qualify to play in these age group games are being loaned out to play "mens" football. This seems to be a pattern and maybe short term whilst upgrading the academy. 2 games in the Southern League is like 20 games at U-17 level. |
 | News Comment | Cajuste: One of Those Nights That Got Away From Us at 09:41:14
Cajuste has been good for us. In the last couple of games he has apparently struggled a bit, but I would suggest that yesterday he was a one man defensive pivot. Morsy was awful. No pace to track runners. Cajuste needs a mobile athlete alongside him and he will show his class. Judging by his sub performances Taylor may be the answer, but as we are short for a number 10 he's playing there. Please don't start Omari at Liverpool, he gives the ball away too much for no reward. If he had 10 goals or assists it would be risk for reward. But there is no reward from Omari |
 | News Comment | Jambang Joins Chatham On Loan at 22:25:59
Seen something of Chatham this season. Good club. If he starts he will have a chance to improve a lot. |
 | News Comment | FA Publish Cunha Ban Written Reasons at 17:25:46
Imagine the ban if this was Morsey!! Or any other town player. Wolves are an "established" PL club, the FA wouldn't want to do anything to harm them! |
 | News Comment | Godfrey Medical Completed at 22:02:46
No way should Taylor go. He's been excellent. Chaplin has made a difference in recent games and we look so much better when he's the third "10". Hutchinson can't play there. Harry out on a loan, Woolfie continues to defy his critics (including me), so who knows. Perhaps Massimo and Burns to go? Burns was excellent against Chelsea mind. Glad I'm not the manager!!!! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Chelsea a Tough Test, But a Great Game at 20:28:36
I think the reality is we were promoted one or two seasons too soon. We needed at least 3 more transfer windows in the Championship to build the squad. As a result we had to make too many signing last year. All isn't lost, but there is no indication we will become a yo-yo club. If we go down but sell and sign wisely and come back stronger. All this nonsense about McKenna is unhelpful. We have no devine right to be where we are, but let's support the team we have and as MA says "trust the process". I believe McKenna does... |
 | News Comment | Town Issue Statement on Morsy Armband Stance at 19:03:27
It may not have been Voltaire who said it, but Tony Benn once said something similar about Enoch Powell: "I may disagree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to say it". Get off Morsey's back and be tolerant to him too. I don't necessarily agree with his stance on other issues, but as been said on here, others gave their life so that we can have differing views. Why should one viewpoint be promoted and considered above an individual's right to religious beliefs? |
 | News Comment | Fans React Angrily to Portman Road Parking Price Hike at 00:29:02
Free use of P&R is a good shout, but the one we used to use on Norwich Road was closed ages ago. The P&R bus from Martlesham just adds to congestion in town. And it's a long bike ride from Framlingham. And for many recent k.o. times there is no bus! A council without a brain.... Parking is not free in Stowmarket nor Woodbridge. If the town centre was better I would arrive earlier!@ This decision makes no sense |
 | News Comment | Academy Coach Lee Confirms Norwich Move at 19:57:38
Bye It's a bit of turnover of staff, but the principles will remain the same. We've come a long way very quickly and my guess is that a shake up is necessary anyway. Wright is doing s great job, so let's build once new facilities are in place. It has to be remembered that some of the scholars were signed up when we were a L1 club. So the player pool is now stretched. Not worried at all by this. |
