| News Comment | Ipswich Town 3-2 Southampton - Match Report at 20:56:03
The last time I heard that much noise at the end of a game at PR was when Big Joe was manager! And before that when Alun Armstrong scored against Inter Milan! A long, long wait, but whatever happens this season, the good times are back at Portman Road. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-2 West Bromwich Albion - Match Report at 19:57:47
Yes, Fridge was good again, apart from dodgy pass in build up to their 2nd goal. Woolfie is a liability. In my view simply not good enough at this level. Rest of team are doing a good job, but there may be a question over GK. Their keeper would have saved second WBA goal. I suspect Walton would too. But resilience is great, football is exciting again. I would have taken top 6 at start of season so we'll done McK and all |
| News Comment | Former Blue Norris Overwhelmed By Fans' Support at 20:25:28
For those not old enough to know, Nortis was a good player for us. Why the negative comments about his wealth, or lack of it? His pay would have been nothing like current players, and you would have thought you could trust your parents with your money! Medblue I hope you never have to ask for help. There but for the grace of God..... |
| News Comment | McKenna: I Really Liked the Second Half at 09:46:31
I agree Wolfie and Edmunson did well. But Wolfie has a big mistake in him every game! Got away with one last night. Wish he wouldn't do that. And I wish Leif would get his body shape right! Is that all I've got to complain about - yes, so well done boys! We missed super Sam. But what a manager we have. |
| News Comment | Edwards Leaves Town By Mutual Consent at 19:04:26
The club have showed class releasing him. It means he's a free agent, and if he gets fit before May he can sign for OU before the end of the season. Gifted, but shame about end product sometimes. I'm glad our club has been fair with him. |

I wonder if all the doom mongers on here are the same ones, saying the same things after we drew 0-0 with Bristol Rovers last season? We do need reinforcements, of course, as Ladapo in particular is clearly not top of Championship standard, but give McKenna a break - look where we are. And remember where we were!!!!! |

| News Comment | McKenna: On Boxing Day It's Always a Great Occasion at 10:56:34
Warktheline, I agree. With the players we had I expected top 10, maybe play-offs before season kicked off. Less than half the team can compete in PremLEeague, we need 3 windows to be ready. What McKenbs has done is remarkable, and by being so successful we are now comparing our team with multi-million pound Premiership teams. The defence does need strengthening, but we've had plenty of clean sheets over last 2 years, it's just that we are now playing Premiership teams in all but name. Maybe McKenna has done too well! Some fans need to appreciate the task of getting to the Premiership and be a bit more patient. Let's give the team huge backing tonight, whatever the score- don't go quiet at the first set-back! |
| News Comment | Ashton, O'Leary and Ball at PLC AGM Tonight at 00:04:27
Couldn't make tonight due to health reasons, but I am more than pleased my shareholding is diluted. This means Game changer are investing, not loaning! Only one thing needed, improve the foid/beverage offering, otherwise a well managed club now. |
| News Comment | West Bromwich Albion 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 20:34:01
Lightning Boy. Apologies I didn't mean to mark you down. Arthritis in my fingers!! I agree with what you said. If back to ourselves on Wednesday, we can put it down to a bad day at the office. No outfield player was worth more than 4 out of 10 today, so different from normal |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-3 Fulham - Match Report at 00:22:58
3 things to take from tonight: 1 We have a problem if Hirst gets injured. Ladapo is not championship quality. 2. Baggott is the real deal 3. Leif Davis is so important to us. Good side Fulham, although fell over too easily and committed sonically fouls. We can expect more of that in the Prem next year. Wasn't the ref awful? |
| News Comment | Ex-Blues Defender Bruce Appointed Macclesfield Boss at 19:25:06
Always thought he did his best. I thought he was a decent defender and full of spirit. But Keene ruined his caroling with ruining our club. Good luck Alex, hope paths cross again. Always welcome PR |
| News Comment | Former Blues Boss Hurst Sacked By Grimsby at 19:48:56
Grimsby due to play Slough Town in FA Cup next Saturday and STFC are favourites to win! Says it all really. Incidentally Slough have a top young manager ( who still plays). Interesting time to get the sack when about to play a non-league team. He is/was hopeless not the worst. Keene ruined our club |
| News Comment | Schumacher Fuming Over "Huge Turning Point" at 19:07:46
For once, I can't argue with an opposing manager. I am in Soth Stand and it was a foul. Possible sending off, but outside of box. We were lucky - about time!!! |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Did a Lot of Things Well But There Were Other Bits to Improve at 18:58:44
Things to improve. Very good opponents, who probably deserved something from the game. But 3 goals at home again, a manager who knows what he's doing and what needs to improve/ change from week to week. A bit stressful at times today, but we can play unbfootball every week. Yet we still keep winning. We'll done McKenna, staff and team |
