Nonsense.
Our previous owner completely fcked this club for his entire 12/13 year ownership.
The fortunate thing was that the business that owned the club was literally named after him so he had no choice but to ensure that the handover was decent and all debts accrued due to his piss poor management of the club written off. He wanted to save his own face and protect his somewhat questionable business.
Absolute clueless owner that wasted the time of almost a whole generation of Town fans. I still don’t understand why a man so completely clueless about the workings of a football club bought a club. But then again, who had honestly heard of Marcus Evan’s prior to his takeover.
As they say, no such thing as bad publicity. |

Nobody on here is “in the know”
We’ve all seen and heard it all before from numerous “in the know” posters. I have once been “in the know” (and Phil will vouch for this), 20+ years ago regarding departures of Scowie and Richard Wright as I knew/know an ex agent and was told some info that I shared. But I shared it with Phil rather than trying to score points on here. I let him break the story.
Ever since then I’ve never shared any other info as I hadn’t received any more. There are repeat offenders on here that use twitter posts and hearsay as knowledge and it’s frankly embarrassing that they still try and peddle their nonsense.
We’ve seen this pattern before and I’m convinced this transfer is now dead in the water. |

Hope this works out how we all want but I honestly can’t see it.
Sheff Utd or Burnley make a similar bid and he’s off there instead.
Ideally we have given him until the weekend/early next week to decide or it’s off.
Hopefully we are also working on other midfielders and at least one more forward. |

Even at £7m I’d much rather we didn’t sell him.
If Broadhead is happy to stay and fight for a place then I’d much rather we kept him. It’s not as if we need the money.
If the lad wants guaranteed game time, I’m not sure we can give him anything near that assurance, and so if he wants to move then I would say £7m is a decent price for a championship player with just one year left on his contract. Would rather it was to someone like Stoke or Derby rather than a team that are quite likely to be challenging us in the top 6 this season. |

I honestly don’t think we will miss him that much to be honest.
I also don’t think he will go on to have much of a Prem career. I think he was very good for us in the Championship last time round but he looked out of his depth last season. Just like most of our squad did. I think the signings we made last summer in Ogbene , Clark and Szmodics and the addition of Philogene in January more than make up for the loss of Hutchinson now we are back in the Championship. If we can get anything above £30m we should be laughing. He’s a decent championship player but not irreplaceable. |

Yes I know this isn’t The Championship but Scottish Prem pretty much = EFL Championship.
Very impressed with Philogene in particular.
