Relative to the previous mangement team and other potential candidates then yes he is the man of the moment. Over 500 games as a manager and two promotions out of the championship speak volumes. He will also have learned from his not so good times at Derby and Sheff Weds. Once we get away from the league 1 trap door this season he needs time and support to rebuild the squad to the strengh required to make a realistic challenge not seen since Royale. This will not happen overnight or in just a couple of seasons. As fans our expectations and perceptions of our club's standing have been seriously over estimated. Get real and get behind him. |

And the objective of this devisive attack was what exactly Mr Keane? Shut your mouth and get on with your job. Can't help but think the high, and unrealstic, expectations some fans have were created by your boasting of your ability to get us promoted. |

Strange decision given our limitations in this position currently. Must have a replacement in the bag and 100% certain?? If it was based on performance this season there are many more that would have been ahead of DW in the queue.. |
| News Comment | Speculation on Keane\'s Future Grows at 08:39:58
Children, children, children..all this petty squabling amongst oursleves..what has Keane done to us??? Recommend you all check out comments by Washbrookblue curently on page 4 of these comments if you haven't. Its a fair and reasoned statement and blows all othe comment away. If you really care about ITFC and want us to move forward (not just be a 'difficult side to beat' but stuck in mid table for years) you will see the sense. |

La-Paz - "chopping and changing constantly is a dangerous way to run a football club" granted - but probably no more dangerous than having a manager that is contstantly chopping and changing a team ...witness : our fall down the league |
| News Comment | Keane Speculation Starts Again at 14:11:31
Keane goes - we have a season of rebuilding and mid table mediocrity, Keane stays - we have a season of mid table mediocrity/relegation battle/crap football...... I'm now past caring. Sort it out ME if you want my money for next year |

itfc1985 -More chance of us going down if Keane stays with us. He's clueless, his tactics and ideas limited and predictable and his players probably lacking in trust and confidence because of the incessant changes - they fear being brave, making mistakes and losing their place. Lets hope i'm proved wrong in a couple of hours..but i doubt out.. |
| News Comment | Keane: It\'s Like Groundhog Day at 19:59:42
Keane has always said judge him on on the league table at the end of the season. Can we take that risk especially with the last 6 game run in in April/May? Is the 'Ipswich way' sticking with a manager even if relegation seems as likely as staying up? I'm as passionate as the next man when it comes to our club and it frustrates me that many - including our board - are happy to stare into the league 1 abyss fast approaching? WHY?? Take action now before its too late..show some loyalty to the fans and take every measure possible to retain our championship future. |

I'm one of the silent majority who has just had a gutful of these pathetic statements week after week. Stop all this schmaltzy PR Evans, and take the right action for the situation now - Keane out or we are doomed |

Fatcatevans - what are you on about? No one on this site wants Town relegated, hence the passionate debate on the manager's contribution. Its the real fear of relegation looming towards us thats making many of us sit up and voice our opnions. Enough is enough, times run out, confidence is lost. As for his players honesty - aren't the majority now playing sourced by Kean who I beleive has said many times they are well vetted for the type of character he requires? On that basis they are a reflection of the manager - just not good enough. |

I see it very simply - Keane is too high a risk to keep on to the end of the season. He is all talk and the team has gone backwards - no question. I see there being less risk in bringing in a real man motivator for the last 16 game dogfight. Top level playing medals count for nothing now. Its 'backs to the wall' managerial experience we need. Sorry Roy, you have failed. You have never experienced this league position at this stage of the season as a player of the manager. We need someone who has. Enough is enough. We must not be relegated. |
