this is very good news.how many seasons have we sat and hoped by some stroke of luck we were going to land the players we needed...,now mick has been told to go and get what he needs from mr evans. it seems he was getting as exited as we were this season!i'd like to see mick have a chat with bobby zamora.if your going to play a long ball to an outlet man then he's your guy.a fit on song zamora would be such a coup for us. i see liam rosenior is leaving hull(last proper right back we had play for us!)obviously we'd like jonny williams but hopefully micks ahead of everyone on that score.if we had gone up this season we wouldn't have been that strong in depth wise,if we go up next season i feel it will be in the top two and pretty emphatic too,which means the squad would be pretty much ready to step up a league.hope my forecast is right but what ever happens we are a solid championship top six side. |

next season should be the season we walk into the premiership,if mr evans is prepared to shell out out for the quality to add to a very strong hard working squad i cant see many teams even coming close.otherwise i can see we will have another season pretty much like the last one if we bring in more of the same type of player mick has brought in this season.we have an oppurtunity to go into the premier league with a strong sqaud with a bit of depth.how many teams have gone up and then as soon as they get up the whole sqaud is swamped with players that upset the balance.i remember the last time we were in europe we brought in players in (finidi !)instead of trusting what got you there in the first place.we are pretty much on course to go up,this transfer window is a big one for us. we need to go the extra mile for the players that are top of micks hit list. i also hope we can keep the majority of our good players.for me this is an oppurtunity that must not be wasted.... |

we seem to have a problem of not being able to play simple passes,we work very hard but sometimes we work too hard chasing our mistakes. we break up play,put two or three passes together,we loose it,we regain it in a position where we can take pressure off ourselves,and instead of playing a simple ball it's either a long hoof which you know is coming straight back or we try the complex intricate passes.when we did keep possesion we looked decent.too many stray balls for my liking |

well it looks like we've come to that point where we need to look at what town have stopped doing that made us the most feared team in the league.i cannot understand why we now insist on playing 442 when 433 was winning us games.we miss tabbs industry in the central areas,we dont see mings raiding down the wings as often as he used to.and what we thought was going to be a tough decision for mick is now an easy one,as much as i like smith he drops to the bench and parr starts.chambers needs to play in his best position,because all in all our defence when it plays well makes us look unbeatable.also steven hunt must be feeling a bit miffed after he started to win the town fans over before his injury.lets get back to that winning formula mick,lets get at em... |

lets see where we are in january after the heavy christmas period.come through that with the majority of your squad intact and some good wins, then we have a good shout,and as we all know this league is like quicksand if you get stuck in a rut with how tight this league is you can get sucked into a battle to survive in no time at all.me personally,i'm still counting how many points away we are from the bottom three.i'll start looking up if we get forty points in the next few weeks.glad to see bart is so enthusiastic but i hope his focus is on keeping shots out,rather than counting yer eggs before they've hatched! |

i know silly!the reason i put that particular post is because i think sammon doesn't complement our other strikers, even though nouble did make me pull my hair out,i'd rather have him simply due to effect they have on the pitch,sammon for me is not the same standard as murphy and mcgoldrick,if he was i,m pretty sure we'd be top right now. nouble took the stick but he made more impact than sammon has.and you cannot disagree that nouble did have some very good games for us,but when came time for him to take his chance he didn't. for me,sammon he looks like he is trying to play in a way he is not used to,i hope sammon makes me eat my words,all our expectations have gone up in the last couple of seasons,perhaps i'm just impatient,but at this time think we need a bit more from him. |
