| News Comment | Leicester Thrash Saints to Go Four Points Clear at 14:06:29
Gazelle, echoes my own thoughts, if we can replicate those commanding away performances from last year against three play off teams. Know Hull & Coventry are a higher level but then for most of the season we have been playing at a much better level so if we can bring the necessary intensity and energy think our determination will get us over the line. Got to believe. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Proud of the Performance in Brilliant Game at 20:27:49
So long as Boro take points off Leeds I think we will do it, because then a win at Coventry and at home to Huddersfield will get us over the line, barring Saints winning their last five. A fortnights rest should help to produce better freshness and energy and who knows, Burns might be back and even Hurst ready to put in some minutes. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-0 Watford - Match Report at 22:57:35
The 2 weeks off after the Boro game could be priceless if we could get one or both of Burns and Hurst ready to play a part and they would be vital if we end up in the agony / lottery of the play offs. |

Some of you will remember 1981 when we also lost1-0 to an inferior Norwich side during an end of season collapse which saw us hand the Div 1 title to Villa. Only difference is I 'd love finishing second this time. |
| News Comment | Norwich City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 14:54:19
Just about impossible to play with the same intensity week in week out. The play offs, if it comes to that, will be a great time to snap that 15 year wait. |
| News Comment | Coventry Date Set at 19:31:42
Regarding the play offs they could copy what happens in non-league by giving the higher placed teams home advantage in a one off game, though that would do away with a Wembley final. You pays your money & makes your choice. |
| News Comment | Plymouth Argyle 0-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:02:50
Sounds like a great goal line clearance from Woolfie, who has been the target of some fans over the season. I think Saints have to play both Leeds & Leicester which is good for us..so long as we keep winning. Two wins before the international break would put us in a stong position for the final push. |
| News Comment | Preston North End 3-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:57:30
Anyone would think managers never make mistakes and one result makes the difference between promotion and nothing. I did worry that the Maidstone result would affect confidence and momentum but there is time to regain that if the players have the right mentality. Also Burgess will be back to shore up the defence. However I can start to see a play off semi or final against the old enemy. |
| News Comment | Travis Loan Signing Confirmed at 18:23:13
Blueboy, Opinion, especially if you are in the minority, will always quite rightly result in critique. You shouldnt get wound up by some of the more childish remarks which also ensue. On the face of it the new loan signings offer plenty of potential but you are right to add the caveat that we need to see them produce on the pitch & fit into the Town way of playing. An end product almost certainly needs a new striker. |

Shows the strength of the squad and managers astute use of players. Please oh please let it continue Sat. First old farm win in how many years ? |
| News Comment | McCarthy: McKenna's Doing a Remarkable Job at 10:43:50
Yes, Mick was a dinosaur, mostly serving up one dimensional hoofball. However, a little bit of generosity. He did transform Daryl Murphy into a decent striker, who showed up well for the ROI at the Euros & Ill always remember that 5-2 win at Rotherham. so thanks Mick but a much bigger thanks to KMc for what he is doing now. |

Best I've felt since 2000/2001 & in a way takes me back to the roller coaster years of the 1960s. Lets hope we can have a season like 1968/69 in the second tier. Bring it on !! |
| News Comment | Peterborough United 0-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:09:54
Most of us said over Christmas & New Year when we were in a bit of a trough that the key to the rest of the season was McK blending the new arrivals in, deciding on his best team & achieving consistency. Well he has done that & how. All praise to the manager & also to the magnificent away fans. Lets hope for another rockin night on Tuesday |
| News Comment | Wednesday Squander Chance to Return to Top After Defeat at Forest Green at 10:51:20
It all shows how difficult it is to predict results at this stage of the season. One things for sure, whoever doesn't get automatic promo from the top four will have got a record number of points, probably over 90. All we can do is concentrate on maintaining our form through a very tricky list of fixtures, so if we are one of the unlucky two, we still go into the play offs with momentum. Our squad and cover should help with this. COYB |

We will turn it round. Last 3 home matches v top 2 ( draws ) & Morecambe ( 4-0 ). next 3 home matches v F. Green, Burton & Accrington + MK away = 4 wins. Get behind the team! |
| News Comment | Bristol Rovers 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 23:12:38
I said some time ago that if Mck didnt quickly know what his best team was & start playing a consistent line up then we would not improve. However all this talk of managerial change is short sighted. Plymouth had been could have easily dispensed with Schumacher after last season's disappointment but are reaping the benefit of sticking with his potential. I see we are back to the clown name calling which helped cause Magilton's downfall but I would not be averse to see Jim back in to help McK. He needs another season. Does anyone really think Nathan Jones could do better....perhaps Michael Appleton or Sam Allardyce. And I predict we will win the next four games....LOL .. Plenty to be marked down on there |
